It's a good reminder that we all need to stay home if we are sick...

So… we have this book.

This burn book.

Where we write about things that shouldn’t be spread.

RSV, influenza, and COVID are all in it.

None of it good.

Definitely DON’T read the leaked entries in the comments 👇

Starting next week and running weekly until 25 June, we’re proud to be piloting sensory-friendly leisure sessions at Ivanhoe Aquatic and Olympic Leisure Centre.

These quiet sessions provide a low-stimulation environment for people with sensory sensitivities, autism, anxiety, dementia – or anyone who prefers a calmer setting. Sessions feature reduced noise, fewer visual distractions and a quiet zone.

Banyule is committed to creating welcoming, accessible environments where everyone can participate comfortably.

As part of this commitment, we’re a Hidden Disabilities Sunflower member. The sunflower is a globally recognised symbol for people with non-visible disabilities such as chronic pain or fatigue, mental health conditions and neurodivergence.

For more info on session days and time, see https://www.banyule.vic.gov.au/News-items/Sensory-quiet-hours-at-Ivanhoe-Aquatic-and-Olympic-Leisure-Centre

Several classes enjoyed an excursion to Collingwood Children's Farm.
Here is Ben's recount of the excursion:
On Thursday me and my friends went to Collingwood Children’s Farm.
We saw some animals, goats, a pig called “Barry”. We saw guinea pigs, one was called “Meatball”. I encountered a bird with a long neck (Peacock). We saw some sheep and there was poo, Gross! I saw a cow. My favourite farm animals were the cats, “Eddy and Judy”. I told Judy “I’m not going to hurt you”. I patted the cat and then me and my friends left the farm. Back at school we had morning tea, lunch, fish and chips. I give the farm 10/10.

Thanks to Active Schools, we are excited about the upgrades to our bike track. Signs, line markings and electronic traffic lights will mean students can practice being safe pedestrians and road users.
