This week, we’re celebrating National Science Week in STEAM!
Students have begun creating a collaborative mural inspired by our local Bicentennial Park, with K - 4 drawing the natural environment below and years 5-6 drawing the starry skies above. We’ve also started designing local creatures and using iPads to bring their stories to life through film. Next week, students will begin editing their footage and transforming their ideas into a series of short films!

What a fantastic day for our Year 6 fundraiser! 🥛🍪
Students came to school in their comfiest pyjamas and enjoyed some delicious flavoured milk and cookies. Our Year 6 Library Monitors also did a wonderful job reading stories to the younger students.
To top it all off, we were lucky enough to have a surprise visit from Uncle Jimmy, who shared some amazing Dreaming stories with us. A fun-filled day with plenty of smiles, stories and yummy treats!
A huge thank you to everyone who helped make our fundraiser such a success!

The Frogs spent an unforgettable morning exploring with Uncle Jimmy! 🌿🌾👣They went on a special walk to deepen their connection to Country, guided by Uncle Jimmy’s rich knowledge of our local landscape. They listened to stories of the land, sky and waterways, discovering how every plant and animal plays a vital role in our ecosystem. Students were fascinated to learn how native plants were traditionally used for food, tools and medicine, giving them a whole new appreciation for the world around them. 🌱🦎🦅A huge thank you to Uncle Jimmy for sharing his wisdom and making learning outdoors so meaningful for the Frogs! 💚

The Frogs have been busy learning both in and out of the classroom!
In the classroom, the Frogs have been working hard in Mathematics! They have been using known multiplication facts to find unknown multiples and building arrays to represent multiplication problems.
Well done, Frogs, on another fantastic week of learning💚

Our Kindy Crabs were lucky enough to be taught by two of our wonderful Year 6 “teachers” as they explored our school’s Code of Conduct!
Through lively discussions and fun activities, our Crabs learnt about what it means to be respectful towards others and themselves, while sharing their ideas and learning from our senior students.
What a wonderful way to build leadership, connection and positive behaviour across our school community!

🌿 Land, Sky & Water Program: Exploring Olympic Park! 🌿
The Magpies and Galahs recently visited Olympic Park with Uncle Jimmy to explore our local area.
Armed with notebooks and pencils, students practiced taking field notes and detailed sketches. Along the way, they discovered how local plants—like the Gymea Lily, Melaleuca, and Fig tree—were traditionally used for medicinal properties, rich food sources, shade and essential oxygen. They also explored our unique local mangrove habitat and the incredible wildlife it shelters.
A big thank you to Uncle Jimmy for inspiring our future botanists and sharing such rich cultural knowledge! 🍃🎨📖
