From internship to international experience!

For Bachelor of Football student Oliver Brissett, an ACPE internship has opened the door to an incredible industry opportunity.

Oliver is currently in New Zealand as an Analyst for the Australian Rugby Union U18 Schoolboys tour, applying the skills he's developed throughout his studies in a high-performance sporting environment.

At ACPE, internships and industry placements give students the chance to gain hands-on experience, build valuable connections, and kickstart their careers while they study.

This is what learning beyond the classroom looks like.

What can a conversation with a stranger teach you about leadership?

As part of EDU4205 Professional Learning and Leadership in Education, our Bachelor of Education students took learning into the community through the Social Price List challenge.

By engaging with people around Sydney Olympic Park, students explored topics including leadership, diversity, teamwork, technology in education and lifelong learning, gaining valuable perspectives that can't always be found in a textbook.

Congratulations to Liana Sana on being recognised for this creative and impactful learning experience.

🌎 From Sydney to New York.

Ex-ACPE Tom Thurgate turned an internship opportunity with the Long Island Rough Riders into an international career experience, building networks across New York, London, and Australia.

Through hands-on learning, industry placements, and real-world projects, Tom gained the skills and confidence to thrive in the global sports industry.

Opportunities like this don’t come around every day, and they’re the kind of unique, career-defining experiences that ACPE students have access to through our strong industry connections.

His advice? Say yes to opportunities. You never know where they might take you. ✈️⚽

Behind the scenes of elite sport. 🏉

On Tuesday, ACPE students had the incredible opportunity to visit the Sydney Roosters, working alongside their Player Wellbeing Team to explore both male and female athlete pathways, wellbeing initiatives, and the realities of life in elite sport.

From understanding the challenges professional athletes face to learning about the practical strategies used to support player development and wellbeing, students gained valuable industry insight that extends far beyond the field.

The experience was topped off with a tour of the Roosters’ world-class facilities at Allianz Stadium, providing a firsthand look at what high-performance sport looks like behind the scenes.

A fantastic opportunity to connect classroom learning with real-world industry practice. Thank you to the Sydney Roosters for sharing your expertise with our students. 👏

What a day at the Hills Football Finals yesterday! ⚽️🏆

We loved being at Bernie Mullane Sports Complex, celebrating the Players of the Match with our boot bags of merch and chatting with so many parents and spectators about study opportunities for themselves and their kids. 🎓

It was also fantastic to have our Ambassadors join us for the first time, bringing even more energy to the day! 🙌

Thanks to everyone who stopped by for a chat. We loved meeting you! 💙
