We were delighted to host our Athletics Carnival today and it was a fantastic day for everyone involved. The students excelled in the track and field events and the house groups were well represented as they cheered each other on in various sports. We are extremely proud of the students' efforts and sportsmanship displayed throughout the day.

We also appreciate the valuable support provided by Doonside Technology High School’s year 9 students, who lent their support throughout the day. Their dedication and assistance made a difference. Thank you to Stevie Rae Harrison for your organisation.

🐝2026 NSW PREMIER’S SPELLING BEE🐝

Well done to the all the students who took part in the NSW Premier’s Spelling Bee on Tuesday! Huge congratulations to our winners Parnika (junior finalist) and Yuvaan (senior finalist). We wish them the best of luck in the regionals.🐝

Re: School Uniform Expectations
As part of our ongoing commitment to fostering a sense of belonging and pride within our school community, we wish to remind all families of our school uniform policy, which was determined following consultation and voting by our community.
Students are expected to wear the full school uniform during school hours. The approved uniform consists of:
Teal and orange shirt
Teal jackets, jumpers, or hoodies
Black shorts or pants
Please note that all other clothing combinations /colours are not considered part of the official school uniform (Acceptable combination Top half is teal / orange and bottom half is black). With the exception of the previous maroon school inform.
For students who wish to wear the previous maroon uniform, this option is also recognised as being in uniform. Some student may wish to wear a combination that includes the current and prior uniform this is also acceptable.
We appreciate your support in maintaining these standards, which help promote school identity and ensure that all students feel included.
Please remind your child to look after their clothing pieces in particular hats and jumpers / jackets.
It is highly recommended that you child's name is placed on ALL clothing where it can be returned to the rightful owner
We maintain the lowest costs on uniforms where all items are sold at costs the school does not profit from the sales of the unform pieces.
Please be reminded that the current and new unform colours and combination was voted by the majority of the school community when consultation occurred in 2025.

Basketball gala day students are due back in 15 minutes. We had a delayed departure time due to some games going into overtime.

Lost property found outside breakfast club. A number of items returned today as Mrs Halawi found names on clothing.

We’re so proud of our students as they build their skills and confidence through group intervention sessions! These collaborative activities help support learning, encourage teamwork, and foster positive relationships. It’s wonderful to see our students actively engaged, helping each other and growing together.

Payments for our Athletics Carnival close tonight. All payments and permissions can be managed through the Compass parent portal.

1/4G recognises the importance of attendance, which is evident in their academic progress as well as regularly achieving a 100% attendance rate 💯. Keep it up! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
