Jin Sei Ryu Karate-Do is based in Sydney, Australia.

Jin Sei Ryu Karate-Do International Organisation is a traditional Japanese karate style providing physical fitness, self defence and personal development to men, women and children. Jin Sei Ryu Karate-Do is a traditional Japanese style of karate which means "Profound Reflections for Growth Style" of Karate-Do founded by Senior Master Ino Maquirang. As a superior form of physical exercise and self-defence, Jin Sei Ryu uses the study of Karate-Do to enable students to become most kind and genuine individuals who make valuable contributions to society. Jin Sei Ryu Karate-Do uses a personal development framework developed over 45 years that guides students of all ages through a process of growth and achievement.

Congratulations to Jin Sei Ryū Karate-Dō Chile!

Weare delighted to congratulate Senpai Luis Reyes Reyes and his students on their outstanding performance at the recent KWF National Karate Tournament in Chile.

Competing for the fifth consecutive year, our Chlean team achieved excellent results: 4 Gold, 2 Silver and 1 Bronze!

We are very proud of Senpai Luis and his students for their continued dedication, hard work and commitment to representing Jin Sei Ryū Karate-Dō in Chile.

INTRODUCING SŌ-BUDŌ KUMITE™

Budō Innovation. Rooted in Tradition.

Jin Sei Ryū Karate-Dō International is very pleased to announce the development of Sō-Budō Kumite™, a new framework for martial arts sparring, designed for both dojo training and competitive application.

Developed over several years within Jin Sei Ryū Karate-Dō, this initiative builds upon established martial arts traditions to provide a structured and progressive approach to sparring that encourages technical development, adaptability and the practical application of martial arts skills.

While originating within Jin Sei Ryū, Sō-Budō Kumite is intended for practitioners from different martial arts styles and organisations, offering opportunities to broaden their experience, challenge themselves and develop their skills in a spirit of mutual respect.

We are delighted to have the commitment and support of four respected international martial arts leaders in developing and promoting this initiative:

Kyoshi Damian Asling — United Kingdom
Senpai Altaf Rahamatulla — France

Together, we look forward to further developing Sō-Budō Kumite and introducing this framework to the wider international Budō community.

Earlier this week, Shuseki Shihan Leigh and I spent several hours training with Shuseki Shihan Mel and all the Jin Sei Ryu Karate-Do students at the Westside Y. Great training session. Osu!

Very proud of Rosie who competed last week in the French Karate Championship - her first tournament!

In Kata, she took 1st place in the Open Division for her age group (10–12 years old). She also did very well in her kumite exhibition matches.

Well done, Rosie! Congratulations to proud parents, Senpai Altaf and Sophie!

Today, Senpai Caitlin completed her grading to Sandan. She did an outstanding job over several weeks, despite balancing the commitments of university and work.

Caitlin started her karate training at just five years old and has now been training continuously for 15 years.

It is quite special for one of our young students to begin with us as a child and continue their journey into adulthood, progressing through to Sandan. Only Sensei Max, Sensei Kyra, and now Senpai Caitlin have trained continuously from childhood and achieved this rank.

We are very proud of Caitlin's commitment, perseverance and achievement.

Tonight, I was very sad to learn of the passing of Grand Tuhon Leo T. Gaje Jr.

My sister Nornale and I were very fortunate to train directly and privately under Master Leo from 1977–1979 in New York. It was a formative time for Filipino Martial Arts in America, and Master Leo was one of the pioneers responsible for introducing and developing FMA in the United States, especially on the East Coast.

Looking back at these old photographs brings back many memories of those early years and reminds me how fortunate we were to have learned directly from him.

Master Leo was an important part of my early martial arts journey, and the knowledge and experiences he shared with us have remained with me throughout my life.

We are very saddened to hear of his passing and are praying for his soul and for his family during this difficult time.

May Grand Tuhon Leo T. Gaje Jr. forever rest in peace.

On Wednesdays and Fridays at 6:30am, the Morning Crew gathers at the dojo to train together.

Led by Kyoshi Mark, this group has grown steadily over the years to become one of the anchor groups of our dojo.

There is something special about our senior black belts choosing to start their day this way, turning up early, training hard, and sharing the floor with one another week after week.

A wonderful part of the Jin Sei Ryū Karate-Do community. Osu!
