Deadline extended โ final chance to nominate for the Health and Medical Research Awards.
We know itโs a busy time of year, and weโve heard from many of you who were keen to submit but needed a little more time.
Nominations for the 2025-26 Health and Medical Research Awards have now been extended to Monday 4 May 2026.

The Future Health Leaders Program brings together a group of female Year 11 students for a full-day session in Canberra this October to:

Clyde Campbell AM received the 2024 Peter Wills Medal, Research Australiaโs highest honour, for his leadership in driving Parkinsonโs research and global collaboration.

Scientia Professor Justin Gooding received the Frontiers Award in 2022 for helping develop breakthrough 3D bioprinting technology now used globally to model human tissue and accelerate drug development.

In 2024, Dr Mustafa Atee received the Discovery Award for developing PainChekยฎ, a world-first AI-enabled tool that helps detect pain in non-verbal adults, including those living with dementia.
Now used in more than 1,800 aged care homes globally, the technology has supported over 6 million pain assessments, improving care and quality of life for patients.
Since receiving the award, Dr Atee has continued to expand his research, securing new funding and building international collaborations.
