ANNOUNCING AUDITIONS FOR SEASON 2026!
We are so excited to announce auditions for the Victorian State Youth Ballet's 1st Season of 2026 - Alice in Wonderland!

The Victorian State Youth Ballet proudly presents the famous classic adventure 'Alice in Wonderland' in an exciting full length ballet production! This splendid and well crafted display of ballet and dramatic skill is outstandingly performed by Australia's leading talented youth dancers!

Auditions for this production will take place Sunday 15th February 2026. Audition and rehearsal venue is VSB Studios- 29/10 Mirra Court, Bundoora 3083
Ages: male & female 9 years to 18 years. Girls 14 years up who are performing on pointe are to bring pointe shoes. Male technique required for boys 14 years up.
All auditionees must have a good basic technique in classical ballet.
Rehearsals take place on Sundays from 1.30pm to 5.30pm.
Performances are on Friday 15th to Sunday 17th May 2026 at the Karralyka Theatre, Ringwood.
Junior Group ages 9 to 11years
Intermediate Group ages 12 to 14years
Senior/Advanced Group ages 15 to 18years

Congratulations to the most amazing cast of the Victorian State Youth Ballet and guest artists from the Victorian State Ballet! You were absolutely amazing on the weekend bringing the beautiful festive season classic - The Nutcracker to the stage. Victorian State Youth Ballet is auditioning on 6th July 2025 for our annual Nutcracker Season! Join us for the magic and excitement of the worlds most loved ballet classic perfect for this time of year! Performances: Saturday 11th & Sunday 12th October at the Darebin Arts & Entertainment Centre, Preston. Dress Rehearsal will take place Friday 10th October in the evening. Ages: boys & girls 8years to 19years. Girls 14 years up who are performing on pointe to bring pointe shoes. Male technique required for boys 14years up. Sunday rehearsals from 2.30pm to 5:30pm commencing 20th July. Audition & rehearsal venue 29/10 Mirra Court, Bundoora. Auditioning for soloist & corps de ballet positions.

Congratulations to the magnificent cast and crew, backstage and front of house team for the success of our Nutcracker Season last weekend. Dancers, you were all amazing on stage! We are so proud of everyone and you all shone so brightly!! Special thanks to all involved backstage for the smooth operations of getting this mighty production on stage. Special thanks to our esteemed staff for the fabulous classes and rehearsals each Sunday over the past 3 months.
