Our school is surrounded by Gresswell Forest, established areas, the adjacent Bundoora Secondary College campus, Strathallan Golf Course and the new Gresswell Grange Estate. We are close to La Trobe University, RMIT Bundoora and the Metropolitan Ring Road. The School's enrolment currently stands at 305, with students from a variety of backgrounds, demonstrating the multi cultural aspect of our sch

ool. An English as a Second Language (ESL) program operates throughout the school and provides opportunities for students to have further focused instruction in English. At Bundoora Primary, each child's individuality is recognised and celebrated. Our school boasts a nurturing, community environment where all families can feel that they are a part of something special.

As part of their Performing Arts program, all Grade 1 and 2 students will be participating in a special mini-concert titled "The Pirate Party". We had a run through in costumes today and they are already fabulous!
We are looking forward to sharing this wonderful celebration of learning with our Grade 1 and 2 families and thank you for your continued support of the Performing Arts program! The students are SUPER EXCITED!

Next Friday, 7 August, we will be celebrating Principals’ Day at Bundoora Primary School.

This is a wonderful opportunity for our students and school community to recognise and thank our amazing principals, Sherrin and Julie, for their dedication, leadership and care. Every day they work tirelessly to support our students, staff and families, helping to make BPS a great place to learn and grow.

Change to Kindy Music at Bundoora Primary school on July 23rd.
Due to AEU industrial action planned for the 23rd of July we must cancel the Kindy Music session planned for this day.
We hope to run this session later in the year.

Staff at Bundoora Primary School were fortunate to end the term with two days of Professional Learning. Day one was with Dr Nathaniel Swain where we learned about explicit instruction, catering for difference and being responsive to learning needs.
Day two was with Jeanette Breen, where were unpacked our learning data and learned about meeting student needs and lifting expectations.
On Day two our ES staff completed learning about students with Austism and how best to meet their needs.
All staff were enthusiastic and looking forward to applying their learning in term three.
Thank you to Dr Swain and Jeanette for sharing their expertise with us.

Please find below a communication going out to all families tomorrow regarding the way in which Bundoora Primary School uses social media.
This week the Bundoora Primary School Council and school leadership team made the decision to no longer post recognisable photos of students on the school page. Instead, the school will endeavour to use the secure school platform, Compass, to share all updates on the wonderful things our students are doing.
