Parade College

This week is Reconciliation Week. At Parade, some of our First Nation students have been working with our Indigenous Education Officer, Sam May, who has been running Possum Skin burning workshops, connecting and strengthening their cultural identity.

Today, our Year 7, 8 and 9 students took part in the annual Parade College Spelling Bee. Throughout the competition, students were put through their paces as they tackled some challenging words.

Congratulations to our Culinary team, who competed in the recent ACC competition. The students put their skills to the test, creating a main course and dessert under time pressure.

Recently, our Year 10, 11 and 12 students attended the French Film Festival and immersed themselves in French culture in our city.

Congratulations to Parade on claiming the Bedford Madden Shield against St Bernard’s College on Wednesday!

Wednesday marked a special occasion as our female students represented the College in AFL for the first time against St Columba’s.

Congratulations to Parade College and Santa Maria College on their opening night performance of Beauty and the Beast!

After months of hard work and dedication, students are excited to perform in front of sold-out audiences in their upcoming shows.

Early in Term 2, the Parade College Big Band travelled to Mount Gambier to participate in the annual Generations in Jazz festival. This highly regarded event brings together talented young musicians from schools across Australia to perform, compete and celebrate their passion for jazz and big band music.

Last week, we officially commissioned our 2026 Year 9 Captains, Student Leaders and House Committee Members during the College Assembly.
