LARA is not a one-click marking tool. The sequence is the point.
Students submit their writing during the lesson. LARA drafts feedback against the teacher’s criteria. The teacher reviews and releases it. Students revise their writing, and the teacher sees the patterns appearing across the class.
The release step keeps the teacher in control. The revision step gives the student something to do with the feedback while the task is still open.

One student misunderstanding the question is an individual feedback problem. Several students misunderstanding it is a teaching problem.
LARA’s Class Insights groups students by the patterns appearing in their writing. It might show that several students have misread the question, left evidence out of their paragraphs or are still developing the same part of the task.
The teacher can then address that shared misconception while students are still working on their writing.

Nothing reaches a student through LARA until a teacher releases it.
The teacher sees each drafted piece of feedback alongside the student’s writing and the criteria it was drafted against. From there, the teacher can edit it, regenerate it, approve it or decide not to send it.
There is no automatic release. The teacher remains responsible for what the student receives.
