Our new site has a page called How It Works, and it does one thing. It takes you through a single assessment from beginning to end.

You read the student's work. You click the descriptors. That is your part.

The click is the mark. It calculates, it adds up to the assessment total, and it carries forward to the report the student reads and the file the authority receives. Mark the class, write your comment, verify. Your reporting is done.

If you coordinate, you check your teachers' work and press publish.

Our new website is live.

rubric+ was built to answer one question. What actually happens at your school when a teacher marks a piece of work?

At the moment, the judgement gets turned into a number, the number goes on a report, and everything the teacher noticed disappears. We keep it. When you tick a descriptor, that tick is the record. It adds up to the mark, it fills the spreadsheet, it writes the report, and it reaches the student, the teacher, the coordinator, the Head of Faculty, the leader and the parent.

Four years of work sits behind that, with one rule the whole way through. We could never ask a teacher for more of their time. The new site shows all of it.

Every teacher knows the moment.

You finish marking, and you know exactly where each student stands. Not just their grade - the specific thing they're still missing, the criterion they finally nailed, the pattern that's been there all term.

Then the papers are collected, the grades go in, and most of that disappears.

That judgement is the richest evidence in a school. Until now, it had nowhere to go.

Our co-founder Clinton Mills lived this for 12 years as a teacher and more recently Head of Literature at a Brisbane GPS School. He watched expert professional knowledge compress into a single grade, term after term, and built rubric+ to change it.

Our co-founder Bill Clasquin brought the architecture. He built Envizi from scratch, took it global, and saw it acquired by IBM. Inspired by a similar vision, Bill chose to learn education from the inside and brought that same commitment to building the evidence layer schools have never had.

rubric+ preserves teacher assessment at the moment of marking, structures it against curriculum, and makes it visible to every person who can act on it. The student, the teacher, the leader, the parent. Without adding work. Without changing how teachers teach.
