A huge day for me today! About 10 months after the masterclass with I finally got my hands on a lathe. It was literally months of searching FB Marketplace to get one for the right price.
Lets hope I can recall all that I learnt!

W2 hunter with Hamon, gidgee handle, G10 guard.
I feel that I am getting closer and closer to where I want to be as a knife maker. I still have so much to learn!
However, I am anticipating my goals will expand and my skills increase as time goes on.
Lets see what 2024 will bring.
Hopefully more classes and better designs.

Custom kitchen knives.
Steel is 26C3 with added Niobium to promote carbide formation for increased wear resistance. Also excellent for a Hamon :)

Holiday projects! I'm loving having a bit of time off work to get into the workshop.
This pair of kitchen knives were commissioned by my mate for his 2x sons. The antler is from a sambar that he shot a few years ago. They are now handed to the next generation.
The blade shape is inspired from Checkout Neels' PDF templates. Great stuff.
Steel is 26C3 (sheffcut) with a wild hamon .artisan.supplies
G10 ferrule with a lasered pattern.
Very happy with how they both turned out
