If you ride around our local area, I encourage you to put in your support for the Sylvan Rd Bikeway! This will be an amazing upgrade to our local transport infrastructure and fill in a missing link in our separated bikeways.

🌸 Join the 2026 Spring Fair Team!

Looking ahead, 2026 is a Spring Fair year! As one of Ironside’s biggest and most exciting community events, the Spring Fair is a massive undertaking and we believe many hands make light work. This year, the P&C is moving away from the "one-person-does-it-all" model. Instead, we are looking to build a collaborative organising team to share the load, spark ideas, and bring this signature event to life together.

Many Hands, Light Work: Let’s Share the Load

We are looking for a group of parents and community members to form a supportive committee where responsibilities are divided into manageable "bite-sized" pieces. No one person should have to carry the fair on their shoulders!

We need a team to help across areas like:

- Logistics & Layout: Mapping out the fun.
- Stalls & Activities: Coordinating our favourite traditions.
- Communications: Spreading the word to our school community.
- Sponsorship: Connecting with local businesses.
- Co-Coordinators: If you’d like to lead, consider doing it with a friend! We love a "dynamic duo" approach to leadership.

Why get involved?

- It’s Social: A great way to meet other parents across different year levels.
- It’s Rewarding: You’ll see the direct impact of your work in the smiles of the kids on fair day.
- It’s Flexible: By sharing the roles, we ensure the time commitment fits into your busy schedule.

📩 Ready to jump in?

Whether you have a specific skill to offer or just want to be part of the engine room, we’d love to hear from you. It’s the community spirit that makes the Spring Fair so special!

Get in touch: To express interest or ask questions about how the team will work, please email [email protected].

Welcome to 2026

On behalf of the Ironside State School Parents and Citizens (P&C) Association, I’d like to extend a warm welcome to all our families, staff, and students as we begin another exciting year. Whether you’re a returning family or new to our community, we’re so glad to have you with us.

The P&C plays an important role in strengthening connections between parents, teachers, and students. Together, we support our school through fundraising, volunteering, and sharing ideas that help enrich the learning environment for all our children.

In 2026, we’re looking forward to hosting a range of events and initiatives that bring our community together and make a positive difference. We encourage you to get involved in a way that suits you: by attending meetings, lending a hand at an event, or sharing your skills and ideas. Every contribution, big or small, helps strengthen our school community.

The P&C meets on the last Tuesday of each month during term. Becoming a member is easy and comes with no obligation to attend meetings. If you’d like to join, simply complete the membership form below and email it to [email protected].
