Looking ahead, 2026 is a Spring Fair year! As one of Ironside’s biggest and most exciting community events, the Spring Fair is a massive undertaking and we believe many hands make light work. This year, the P&C is moving away from the "one-person-does-it-all" model. Instead, we are looking to build a collaborative organising team to share the load, spark ideas, and bring this signature event to life together.

Many Hands, Light Work: Let’s Share the Load

We are looking for a group of parents and community members to form a supportive committee where responsibilities are divided into manageable "bite-sized" pieces. No one person should have to carry the fair on their shoulders!

We need a team to help across areas like:

- Logistics & Layout: Mapping out the fun.
- Stalls & Activities: Coordinating our favourite traditions.
- Communications: Spreading the word to our school community.
- Sponsorship: Connecting with local businesses.
- Co-Coordinators: If you’d like to lead, consider doing it with a friend! We love a "dynamic duo" approach to leadership.

Welcome to 2026

On behalf of the Ironside State School Parents and Citizens (P&C) Association, I’d like to extend a warm welcome to all our families, staff, and students as we begin another exciting year. Whether you’re a returning family or new to our community, we’re so glad to have you with us.

The P&C plays an important role in strengthening connections between parents, teachers, and students. Together, we support our school through fundraising, volunteering, and sharing ideas that help enrich the learning environment for all our children.

In 2026, we’re looking forward to hosting a range of events and initiatives that bring our community together and make a positive difference. We encourage you to get involved in a way that suits you: by attending meetings, lending a hand at an event, or sharing your skills and ideas. Every contribution, big or small, helps strengthen our school community.

Monday: Chicken Bánh Mì with lettuce, cucumber and pickled carrots
Tuesday: Rice Balls. Choose from Vegetarian, Tuna Mayo or Salmon Mayo
Wednesday: Pizza Day! Cheese, Veggie, Ham & Cheese or Hawaiian
Thursday: Nachos. Minced Beef or Vegetarian, topped with cheese, tomato, black beans and salsa, with the option to add avocado or guacamole
Friday: Sausage Roll Day, Chicken or Sweet Potato

Ironside P&C is excited to announce the start of the Ironside Swim Club 2025/26 season!

Join us on Friday evenings in Terms 4 & 1 for fun, friendly swim nights at the Ironside pool.
Open to Prep–Grade 6 swimmers, with timed 25m, 50m and 100m races in all strokes. Swimmers earn points for participation and improving their times.

Younger siblings can join our free “Tadpoles” 25m event each week.
Enjoy a relaxed, supportive atmosphere with BBQ and canteen available.

The season kicks off Friday 17 October from 5:45pm.
$60 per swimmer. Available in Qkr!
