Expo 2015 has unveiled it's mascots for the world's fair in Milan. They don't have names yet. They're asking for input from the public. Presumably, the characters will be more full developed with different personalities and will combine to make one big mega-mascot.
I'm not sure if these characters will really appeal to kids, however. For me, they recall the characters from Epcot's now-defunct Food Rocks attraction which never seemed very appealing. I mean, who wants to eat anthropomorphic food? But, then again, folks DID like the California Raisins.

Filmmaker Jeffrey Ford asks “Where’s the Fair?”
In my last entry, I talked about the state of expos in the United States. It’s a difficult topic to address to an American audience since there are a number of big issues here. These issues include: the lack of US participation in two recent foreign expositions, the lower quality of the presentation...

Is it too early to be talking about 2022? Well, it's closer than you think. Bids for Expo 2022 (or 2023) will likely start in the coming years.
I'm very happy to announce the creation of MinnesotaWorldsFair.com. It is now live.
Working with a team in Minnesota hoping to make the proposed bid a reality, I created the visual identity and web site for the effort. If successful, it will be the first world's fair in the United States in 38 years and the first one in North America in 36 years.

I've updated and increased the offerings in the ExpoMuseum.com Shop. I'd love to hear suggestions for ways to increase our offerings. Right now, it is mostly books and artwork. I plan to create some original art soon, in the form of posters commemorating past world's fairs.

With 2013 being the 25th anniversary of Expo '88, it seemed appropriate to update the 1988 Brisbane page on ExpoMuseum.
