Snakes, bats, and injured wildlife. Oh my! ππ¦
Children at Edge Peregian Breeze were treated to a very special visit from Rozzie of Wilvos Wildlife Volunteers Association. Rozzie brought her incredible knowledge of Australian wildlife to life, teaching the children how to stay safe around our Australian wildlife.
Let's just say we now have a room full of very passionate future wildlife warriors.

π Community, connection and a cause close to so many hearts. π
Our Edge Flagstone community came together for Australiaβs Biggest Morning Tea, with each classroom baking delicious treats and our Kindy children proudly making chocolate brownies. π«π©βπ³
One of the most meaningful parts of the day was a Wall of Honour, created to recognise and remember loved ones affected by cancer. Thank you to the families who shared their stories and photos with usβyour contributions made this tribute truly special.
Together, we raised awareness, shared meaningful conversations, and supported an important cause. Thank you to everyone who helped make a difference. πΌ

We're excited to announce the launch of Bush Kindy at our Edge Peregian Breeze centre, a new fortnightly excursion program for 3β5 year olds.
Bush Kindy (or "Walkabout Thursday" as they like to call it) takes learning beyond the centre walls and into the local park next door. It gives children the chance to explore, discover, and connect with the world around them and nature in a meaningful way. πΏ

Edge North Harbour recently welcomed Googabinj, a proud Ghungalu man from Central Queensland. π€πβ€οΈ
Googabinj shared his culture, traditions, and stories with warmth and pride, inviting our children into a world of language, movement, and connection to Country.
We learned that Googabinj is the traditional name for the bush turkey, explored the unique colours of the bird, and discovered how those colours are reflected in the Aboriginal flag. The children were introduced to words and greetings from his traditional language, and loved practising "Binbee Yilan" (good morning) together.
We also got moving! The children hopped like kangaroos and swam like fish, bringing culture to life through storytelling and play.
Thank you to Googabinj for so generously sharing your knowledge and culture with us.

National Reconciliation Week π€πβ€οΈππ€π
This week we reflect, learn and grow togetherβexploring the rich cultures, stories and traditions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
At Edge Marsden, Miss Simone brought in coconuts for the children to explore. Together, they felt the rough outer texture, talked about how coconuts grow, and discovered how every part of the coconut can be used β the water, the flesh, and the shell. A truly sustainable resource!
It was a wonderful, sensory-rich experience to expand on the children's sense of taste, touch, and smell. While opening hearts and minds to the incredible diversity of cultures and foods that make up our world.

Jingeri! πthe children at Edge North Pimpama had the joy of learning with Miss T β a proud Maiawali and Pitta Pitta (Western Queensland) woman and owner of Inclusive Dance.
Through movement, dance, and storytelling, our children explored Yugambeh language (including colours), discovered the significance of the First Nations flag, and were encouraged to think about how caring for their bodies helps them move, explore, and connect more deeply with Country.
Miss T weaves First Nations perspectives, language, and cultural practices into every interaction, giving our children authentic, respectful, and joyful opportunities to learn.
We are so grateful for this partnership, and for the knowledge and lived experience Miss T so generously shares with our community. π€πβ€οΈ

The preschool children at Edge Plympton have turned their outdoor classroom into a living science lab.
From finding bugs after rain to building bird feeders and creating a Bee Hotel for an injured bee, every small moment of curiosity led somewhere meaningful. ππͺ±π¦
Every question, every observation, every small moment of wonder has been intentionally followed. This is inquiry-based learning at its best, grounded in curiosity, sustainability, and connection to Kaurna Land.
We love seeing children grow into thoughtful, caring learners. π
