Today, our children enjoyed the Super Safety Show by Itty Bitty Stars, where they learnt valuable personal safety skills through fun role play, songs, and dancing! ππΆπ
The interactive performance by Bec encouraged children to build a stronger understanding of their own feelings and instincts, especially the importance of listening to their "tummy alarms" when something doesn't feel quite right.
They also learnt that it's okay to:
π Speak up
πΆ Walk away
π£οΈ Tell a trusted grown-up if something makes them feel uncomfortable or unsure.
We're proud to support our children's confidence and wellbeing by helping them develop the knowledge and skills to stay safe. Thank you to the Itty Bitty Stars Bec and Ivan for delivering such an engaging and important learning experience that aligns with our Safe guarding! Every Child, Every day.

β¨ Sensory Play in Action! πποΈ
Nursery explored a colourful Oobleck sensory experience, using their hands to touch, squeeze, mix, and investigate its fascinating texture. They were amazed as the Oobleck changed between feeling like a solid and flowing like a liquid, sparking curiosity, wonder.
Sensory experiences like this encourage children to explore through play while supporting fine motor development, scientific thinking, problem-solving, and descriptive language. Most importantly, they provide opportunities for children to experiment, discover, and learn through hands-on investigation. π

Recently, our team explored the Phoenix Educator Toolkit and were introduced to the Phoenix Cups Frameworkβ a contemporary approach to understanding children's behaviour through the lens of humanistic and positive psychology.
This framework aligns with Journey's approach, supporting our educators to recognise that behaviour is a form of communication. It provides practical strategies to build positive relationships, strengthen children's emotional regulation, and create environments where every child feels safe, supported, valued, and empowered to thrive.
At Journey Early Learning Corinda, we are committed to continuous professional learning, ensuring we provide the highest quality care and education while supporting every child's social and emotional wellbeing. ππ± for further information visit the family site https://www.phoenix-support.com.au/families?utm_source=chatgpt.com

This week Kindeegarten had an amazing adventure at the planetarium! πβ¨
They explored the wonders of space, learned about the planets, stars, and galaxies, and were captivated by the incredible journey through the universe. It was a fun, hands-on learning experience that sparked curiosity, imagination, and plenty of questions about the world beyond our own.
We love creating opportunities for our children to learn through exciting experiences, inspiring a lifelong love of discovery and science. ππ
