Something I don’t usually photograph, but do all the time: decluttering and organising! ✨
I help my little friends calm the chaos in their craft and play spaces, and assist adult clients with light cleaning, laundry, and organising. Even small tasks, like tidying a craft area for the youngest child can prevent mess from taking over, reduce visual overwhelm, and give everyone more space to focus on what really matters: family, pets, learning, and play. 🥰

Play doh days = fine motor skills, creativity & regulation 🩵
But really, it’s all about the trust we’re building.
Homemade play dough is next level apparently… just not for me to touch 🤣

Visited an epic pump track and skatepark recently. A young boy kept joining me and my client on our scooters.. his carer was glued to their phone, barely noticing him. 💔
It made me proud to be someone he felt safe and comfortable with. Moments like this remind me why I always strive to be fully present with my little friends.. they deserve that connection. 🩵

I love using free public spaces to support movement in a natural, enjoyable way.
Today’s session wasn’t planned, just a scooter ride, some curiosity, and a chance to explore what our bodies can do.

This is what active support looks like.
I engage, participate, and experience activities alongside my clients.. not from the sidelines.
Support isn’t just supervision; it’s connection, encouragement, and being present.

Something that seems simple to many can be a major hurdle for kids with autism.
Haircuts can involve intense sensory input, uncertainty, and anxiety.. especially for children.
Some strategies that helped make this haircut experience more manageable:
• Arriving early to allow time to regulate calmly
• Planning a reward afterward (ice cream!)
• Explaining high anxiety needs to the hairdresser in advance
• Requesting scissors only and avoiding electric clippers
• Arranging to have both kids get their haircut at the same time.

It’s amazing how capable even the smallest kids can be when given trust and opportunity. So proud of my little gal pal confidently shopping for her mum and family.

Bouldering is a fun way for kids to build strength, confidence and body awareness.
✔️ Supports regulation through movement
✔️ Builds coordination and problem-solving
✔️ Boosts confidence at their own pace
I always join in too!
