Australian Magpies are very clean birds. They preen themselves regularly to keep their feathers in good condition, get rid of parasites and stay healthy.

Glossary:

Read about it by going to the English blog on my website (the link is in my bio). πŸ˜ŠπŸ‡¦πŸ‡Ί

Have you ever seen something that looks 'out of place'?

I spotted this small chair as I was walking home from the shops the other day. Although it looked a little out of place, it was also very cute, and I couldn't help but smile when I saw it. Unfortunately, it was gone the next time I walked by, and it made me wonder who put it there...and who took it away. β˜ΊοΈπŸ€”

English notes:

out of place [phrase] - in the wrong place or looking wrong

spot - to see or notice someone or something

The first International Women's Day was held in 1911 (on 19th March). It was moved to 8th March, in 1917, and this remains the standard date.

It received recognition from the U.N.(United Nations) in 1975, which was International Women's Year, and has been celebrated by this organisation ever since.

In Australia, the first International Women's Day was held on 25th March 1928. πŸšΊβ™€οΈπŸ‘©
