Sometimes I feel my heart harden, go a bit calloused. It often can be when I'm super productive and doing a lot, on the surface feeling 'pretty good'. And yet, just a little deeper, I notice I've disconnected from a very essential but uncomfortable, messy part of myself.

Put my heart in a protective box, where it doesn't have to feel things.

Grief, rage, despair all at bay, but also pleasure, deep joy and connection.

Now, i'm not one to judge coping strategies - I believe we are all doing our best...

Though when I realised I've lost my heart, and chosen productivity or busy-ness over love & feeling...it cracks me open with longing, and a sublime beauty re-enters my life, that I vow to never turn my back on again (until i get caught up & forget again *ah, such is being a human*).

There are PLENTY of things that are hard to feel in our personal and collective experience currently. [Understatement of the year]

And yet, here we are.

Made for these times, because we are here.

How we choose to show up, how fully we're willing to feel & embody love, and move through the world meaningfully matters.

But first, tending the heart.

This Sunday I invite you to come to Broken Open - Dance & Devotion in times of Crisis

It's not a heavy day despite grief being very much present, it's a day for the HEART to FEEL its full ALIVENESS in all its facets, and remember LOVE.

All profits from Broken Open will be donated to the Palestinian Children's Relief Fund 🍉

No experience required.
🙏 I would love & appreciate if you'd reach out and invite your friends.

Grief doesn’t have to make sense to be felt.

The heart knows what the mind can only helplessly grapple to understand.

Broken Open is a space to bring whatever is in your heart.

Whether it’s the weight of bearing witness to bombs dropped on children,
the Epstein files,
you’re going through peri-menopause,
you have worry about the future of AI,
your relationship is struggling,
your beloved dog is sick,
or simply feel the ache of being human.

There’s no hierarchy or comparison here; every story, every heartbreak, every tear is welcome. We’re meeting in our shared humanity.

Through Sensual Embodied Dance®, we’ll move with what’s alive in your body, letting grief guide you into deeper connection, presence, and embodiment.

This is a space to honour your feelings, to be supported, and to remember that caring deeply doesn’t have to be endured alone.

Come as you are with whatever you’re carrying.

It's been a year since the last Broken Open...and **gesturing broadly at everything**
it seems like a very ripe & needed time for us to gather again with our heart ache & humanity in the face of devastation.

Heart ache is our humanity remaining intact, our willingness to continue to care and be empathetic in the face of moral injury. Feeling & bearing witness when everything would otherwise push us to turn away, disconnect, numb out.

Many women tell me they're feeling a lot of fear, rage, grief, despair, devastation lately... at least in the background of their awareness, if not the front & centre.

How about you?

All these feelings have their roots in Love.
We grieve because we Love.

Yet, sometimes it can feel like we're drowning.
Online. Alone. Feeling like nobody else cares or gets it. In this weird hypernormalisation of: utter cl*******ck of a crisis x 'buy the cool new thing' sitting side by side. It can feel like going crazy. But you’re not crazy, your heart is fully functioning.

Community, connection & letting these feelings move is so important. It normalises the grief. Gives it breathing space. Allows grief to coincide with all the uplifting aspects of our humanity...care, spiritual connection, beauty, aliveness, pleasure, belonging, being seen & understood.

So, I invite you to come to Broken Open - Dance & Devotion in times of Crisis in 📍 on 12th April, 9:30am-3:30pm.

This was such an enriching day last year. It had the texture of a collective 'sigh of relief'.
A whole body softening, like: 'nothing is solved' but 'everything will be okay'.
And a good, unexpected dose of inspiration on how to move forward meaningfully.

No experience required.

🙏 I would love & appreciate if you'd share this with your friends

EMBODIMENT, HUMAN SOUL & AI

Someone just asked me ‘is any of the SED Facilitator Training generated by AI?’

…that’s a new and fair question!

She expressed that not only did she find AI content extremely unengaging (ditto! 🙋‍♀️), but she was concerned about how de-humanising she found it (um, also, big ditto 🙋‍♀️)

This might be a mild controversial take for some…but for all the convenience, quick solutions, 24/7 availability that AI offers - I’m just not down with a literal disembodied intellect (reflecting our current human state much?) habitually ‘helping’ me to not use my own brain & body.

To skip over the creative friction of articulating or expressing an idea.

To take all the warmth, soul and energy out of our unique, messy human experiences of meaning making, creative expression, feeling capacity.

To remove the opportunity to just be present with the feeling quality of our embodied experience, and let the pulsating alive throb that is and connects all things provide true wisdom & insights, not just ‘answers’.

I was an enthusiastic AI user when ChatGPT first came out, but over time I felt it making me and the social space dumber & disconnected.

How about you?

So, I’ve ditched it for all but asking technical Q’s like: ‘how to update my Macs operating system’ or to ‘list the date of every Wednesday for the next 8 months’ or ‘is the phase ‘that’s my two cents’ known globally?’

I want what’s real.

I want the human experience.

I want nature and life and warm breath and devotion and mystery.

AI takes me away from all that.

Some will surely say ‘you can have both’…but let’s be real: it’s pretty addictive. It is for me anyway.

So, that’s my two cents on AI

(without even venturing into the hideous environmental impacts and dystopian military implications)

And I’m proud to say… there is a zero AI in the SED Facilitator Training.

All the content is created, written and spoken by me.

Even the proofreading & editing was done by a mum in between her toddlers’ naps (likely there’s still some typos and weird sentence structures in there…I think of it as imperfect, human flavour)

And the bulk of the Sensual Embodied Dance® Facilitator Training is delivered in LIVE moving experiences, with real, really wonderful, human beings.

If you want to join… or are even just curious… PM ME now & reach out to me now or APPLY.

🌟 We’re starting in 2 days! 🌟

I think embodiment, connection & finding grounded spiritual meaning in our lives is the remedy to a lot of the insanity that we see in the world.

What do you think? What’s your take on AI?

19/03/2026

Technically, no one needs a fancy piece of paper to teach others hip circles & to move energy through the body.

You could probably already be offering transformative embodied movement classes/workshops/retreats, couldn’t you?

You have experience, body awareness, the sensitivity to what’s happening in a room...you’re not new to embodiment, and you’re probably not lacking skills either.

And yet, maybe you haven’t quite stepped all the way into your edge of facilitation… the more sensual, eros-flavoured, deeper spaces, that are calling you.

Yes you could, but likely haven't because something in you is still waiting for a deeper kind of permission...a connection that actually lands in your body and settles all your doubts.

That dissolves the 'Will people actually take me seriously?' 🤔

And god over the years I've seen many women attend my workshops, feel how powerful the work is, then flat-out copy it, run a few of their own events...and then *surprise*surprise* it eventually flops.

Because there’s no real foundation holding it. No depth. No roots. Nothing steady underneath it all.

(It used to really bother me - it's half the reason I created the facilitator training)

Sensual Embodied Dance Facilitator Training offers an unspoken kind of embodied permission:

that "Yes, you get to lead spaces like this, you can go there, you've walked the walk, you know what you’re doing."

Not just more information,

not just more techniques to stack on what your already know,

but a felt, embodied sense of integrity & permission

that comes from thoroughly taking the journeying yourself (and not alone - but in relationship with an experienced established teacher who can guide, witness, and personally refine your facilitation as you go). So your self-trust deepens, and you feel genuinely backed by something steady, resourced, anchored in a time-tested method & supported by something solid rather than just your own instincts.

So, if the piece you dance around is the "I could, but I haven't'...then the upcoming facilitator training is where you get to actually claim full bodied, resonant permission. It can change everything.

In the last two weeks, 30-40 women brand new to Sensual Embodied Dance® have experienced the practice with me online. It was such a delight! ✨ Some of the things they shared:

🔸 “The session had such variety, very juicy, then very playful, and then quite vulnerable”
🔸 “I love the way it embraces science and the sacred…and shaking my booty!”
🔸 “I can’t believe how different I feel from 90 minutes ago!”
🔸 “It felt really vulnerable and really safe at the same time”
🔸 “It was really healing for me let myself be seen”
🔸 “I feel stronger”

I’m biased, of course…but Sensual Embodied Dance® really is a unique methodology.

🔹 It’s not all free-form, non-linear movement
>>> that’s powerful, but it can have you moving in habitual patterns & ruts, unknowingly avoiding ‘feeling blindspots’.

🔹 It’s not all technical movement, like choreographed dance or yoga
>>> that’s beneficial, but it can impose upon the body in a top-down manner that doesn’t always allow the nervous system to respond instinctively.

🔹 It’s not all interospective, self-focused practice
>>> that’s necessary and an anchor, but we don’t live our lives on a yoga mat, so we do need to cultivating expression to move in the world as well.

🔹 It’s not only for personal transformation & liberation
>>> yes, be the change. And no one is an island, we are always in relationship…with others, our environment, the world and Life itself. So we practice relational embodiment as well.

🔹 It’s not all gentle, soft practice
>>> being trauma informed is super important, and letting your nervous system develop a robust capacity to move between activated and relaxed states supports deep transformation. Peak experiences and proper integration ✅

I don’t know of any other modalities that artfully weave all these elements together with an understanding of the underlying neurological mechanisms to create a transformational arc that works every time.

.

Do you want to learn to facilitate Sensual Embodied Dance® so you too can guide groups of people on powerful, transformational journeys + with confidence grounded in a comprehensive evidence- based understanding, rich personal experience & a proven structure to support you?

Now is the time to get in touch with me.

The Sensual Embodied Dance® Facilitator Training 2026 starts 25 March.

There’s a moment that comes before a big YES.

Desire is there whispering:

I want to hold spaces like that.
I want to guide women into their bodies.
I want to do work that feels alive, sensual, meaningful.

Mixed with an uncomfortable smattering of nervous, edgy feelings

Am I ready?
Could I really do that?
How could I make that happen?

That concoction of 'YES', desire AND the 'OH F*CK, I'd really have to step up' IS the fertile ground for epic transformation.

The Sensual Embodied Dance Facilitator Training is for facilitating women through this transformative edge, that can feel both thrilling & terrifying, that calls each of us to our next more aligned, embodied expressed, free version of our self.

It's delicate, vulnerable, powerful work - personally and to facilitate.

So the Facilitator Training is very intentionally not another online course where you’re left alone with videos and worksheets.

But an intimate, high-touch mentorship where you are personally guided into the art of facilitation.

A space where you learn how to:

✴️ Read a room and work skillfully with a wide variety of group dynamics
✴️ Guide sensual, embodied experiences that are both epic and safe
✴️ Facilitate powerful group journeys through dance, movement and presence
✴️ Understand the nervous systems amazing capacities, plus trauma-awareness, for real, lasting embodied transformation
✴️ Develop your own authentic facilitation style with a very effective structure that supports you to weave your own magic.

I won't just teach you some cool practices, what to do, give you a script and ask you to do it my way....

The training is for learning the underlying mechanics of embodied transformation, and actually becoming the woman who can masterfully hold the room for the maximum benefit for participants.

The training begins 25 March and runs for 8 amazing months together.

And if you’ve been circling this work for a while… now is the moment to decide.

The world needs women who are deeply embodied, skilful, and courageous enough to lead.

If that woman lives inside you, I’d love to meet her.

Reach out now - we start in 10 days.

💖 I support women to FAIL 💖

Yep, it’s true.

In all of my last 5 Facilitator Trainings there's at least a couple (but often many) women who tightly grasp to

‘I must do this exactly, precisely, perfectly right’.

One beautiful, truly amazing woman from a few years ago was A+ in dedication, showed up to everything, rehearsed so much at home her dog could’ve certified, did all the homework before I even asked.

Yet, when she did her first few facilitation practices, she said the ‘correct’ words and technically did everything ‘right’ …but it just didn’t land in a felt, embodied, resonant, permission-granting way.

With a little gentle inquiry it turned out she was all knotted up inside, terrified of:
mincing her words,
forgetting what comes next,
having a mental blank,
not pleasing everyone,
worried about being judged.

Absolutely terrified of FAILING.

And while she was a more extreme case…pretty much every woman I’ve met has some degree of this perfectionist, pleasing tendency (unless they've worked to unravel it).

Sometimes the ‘no preparation, just wing-it and have a red hot go’ types (hello, that's me 🙋🏻‍♀️) often have the fear of failing fuelling their procrastination.

So what I build into practice is: the requirement to fail.

I encourage it 👏

There are practices where I specifically ask women to stumble on their words, add awkwardly long misplaced pauses, loose balance, put movement sequences in a clunky order etc.

Participants don’t know which are the real or pretend f*ck ups.

**Ahhh***, and it’s SO LIBERATING (and hilarious for everyone)!!

When you fail for fun in practice you teach your nervous system that you won’t die of embarrassment.

And that rather than people giving you the stink-eye,
you discover that people find you warmly relatable, authentic and deeply human - the fear dissolves.

You’re left with an imperfect yet resonant, honest, deeply felt embodiment of who you are that naturally grants others the permission to be more of themselves.

Embodiment isn’t about the words, the moves, doing everything right, or ‘looking embodied’ (which I notice is very fashionable on Instagram these days)

…it’s about being deeply intimate with all of life exactly as it is, moment to moment.

The whole spectrum of experience – including being a hot mess from time to time.

That’s authenticity

+ people LOVE it.

This particular wonderful woman went on to facilitate epic Sensual Embodied Dance classes that other women raved about ✨ Truly in her power and offering so much to those around her.

So if you want to come fail with me and become an masterful professional facilitator…

[which is a combination deeply embodying your authentic expression (the personally transformative embodiment stream) + learning actual skills & mechanics of a conjuring transformative experiences (the facilitation stream)]

…then reach and let me know you’re keen – or apply 👇

We start on 25 March.

Dedicated to your success and loving your 'failures',

x Holly
