I’m saying goodbye to the flashcards… and replacing them with something I think will be much more useful for families.
For 2027, I’m introducing 4 x Phonics Pathway Booklets to go alongside my workbooks.
And this change has actually been a long time coming.
While flashcards can be useful, I wanted to create something that families could keep together, come back to and use throughout the year — rather than having another pile of cards to organise and keep track of.
So instead, I’ve created a phonics pathway that follows progression and gives you a resource you can use for:
📖 Introducing new sounds and concepts
🔤 Practising previously taught phonics
✏️ Revisiting skills when your child needs a little extra support
🔎 Quickly referring back to a particular sound or pattern
🌱 Supporting your child's progress through their phonics journey
There are 4 x different Phonics Pathway Booklets, so you can choose the level that best suits your child.

You can then add additional booklets if you need them for your child.
I really wanted this change to make phonics resources simpler, more practical and more useful for homeschooling families.
And, as with so many of the changes I'm making for 2027, this has come from thinking about what will actually be helpful when you're sitting at home trying to teach your child — not just what looks good on a product list.
