A Season of Living, Learning and Returning 31/07/2026

Hello everyone!

After a little time away writing on my Women Living Well After 50 blog, I'm back.

Life has been wonderfully full over the past few months – training for and completing the Brisbane Marathon with my daughter Rachel, keeping busy with community commitments, and preparing for a move to our new home. Somewhere along the way, my regular writing took a back seat.

But I've missed it.

Writing has always been one of my favourite ways to connect with you, to share what I'm learning, and hopefully inspire you to live well at every stage of life. I've been sharing my thoughts through my Substack newsletter but had left writing on my website.

I've written a new blog post sharing where I've been, what I've been doing, and what's ahead for Women Living Well After 50. I'd love for you to take a few minutes to read it.

Thank you for staying with me while life became a little busier than usual. I'm looking forward to sharing more stories, wellness tips, book reviews, and inspiration as we continue this journey together.

As always, thank you for being part of this wonderful community.

Have a beautiful weekend.

At 68, I know that staying strong is about more than just the workout.

That’s why I incorporate two to three strength workouts a week and the all important recovery.

As we age, maintaining muscle mass becomes even more important.

Strength training maintains muscle, balance and independence. Refuelling gives my body what it needs to recover.

One of my quick ways to refuel is making a protein smoothie.

How do you stay strong and recover?

How do you fuel your body to start the day?
My latest favorite is Cottage cheese on toast topped with tomato and cracked pepper. Yummy and healthy with a protein boost from cottage cheese, carbs and fibre from bread and tomato💕

Sundays are my day for relaxing. It’s cold this morning so I’m warming up with coffee in the Sunshine and my Fella Hamilton Energy zip up jacket and matching pull on pants. Cozy and comfortable. A perfect start to my day.

How do you start your Sunday? Have a beautiful day. 💕💕💕

Of course, Red and green was the theme for our . Mike and I enjoyed a fun day celebrating Christmas in July with our Probus Club of Chatsworth-Carindale.
Huge thank you to Jason & staff Elysium Restaurant & Bar for their excellent service and delicious food. I highly recommend Elysium for a function or just a dinner for two. You won’t be disappointed. Always a pleasure to revisit.

At 68, I know what works for me. A crisp white top, a swipe of red lipstick, and simple, timeless style.

Confidence isn’t chasing every trend; it’s wearing what makes you feel good.

The Eternity 3/4 Sleeve Top is one of my go-to staples. It’s comfy, flattering, and effortlessly chic, and it comes in a beautiful range of colors.

Sizes 6-22 I’m wearing Size 6

Cotton blend
Round neckline
3/4 length sleeves
Binding at sleeve
Stretch cotton and modal
Curved hemline
