🚨 THEY DON'T WANT YOUR CAR... THEY WANT YOUR KEYS. 🚨
Would you know what to do if someone broke into your home tonight?
Most people think vehicle thieves are breaking into cars.
The reality is that many are breaking into homes to steal the keys.
While families are asleep, offenders can enter through an unlocked door or window, search for keys, wallets and handbags, and within minutes your vehicle can be gone.
But here's something many people don't think about...
When someone enters your home, the risk isn't just losing your vehicle.
If you or a member of your family wakes up, there is the potential for an unexpected confrontation.
In those few seconds, decisions matter.
At United Krav Maga, we believe self-defence starts long before a physical confrontation.
It starts with preparation.
It starts with awareness.
It starts with having a plan to protect yourself and the people you love if the unexpected happens.
🔑 Don't make it easy.
❌ Don't leave your keys beside the front door.
❌ Don't leave them on the kitchen bench.
❌ Don't leave handbags containing your keys where they're easy to grab.
❌ Don't leave garage remotes inside your vehicle.
✔ Instead...
✅ Keep your keys well away from entry points.
✅ Lock your doors and windows every night.
✅ Use sensor lighting or security cameras where possible.
✅ If you hear someone inside your home, your priority is the safety of yourself and your family. If you can, move to a safe location, call Triple Zero (000), and avoid unnecessary confrontation.
🚗 Did You Know?
📊 Queensland recorded approximately 18,800 victims of "Unlawful Use of a Motor Vehicle" in the latest financial year.
🏠 Many vehicle thefts begin with a residential break-in where offenders steal the owner's keys before driving away.
Your car isn't always the first target.
Your home is.
Protect your keys.
Protect your family.
Protect your home.
Because self-defence isn't just about what happens in the street.
Sometimes, it starts at your own front door.
👇 Where do you keep your vehicle keys at night?

🛡️ WEAPONS DO NOT BELONG ON OUR STREETS
Queensland is taking firm action against knife violence—and the results speak for themselves.
In the first year since Jack’s Law was made permanent and expanded:
🔹 More than 173,000 people were scanned
🔹 Over 1,300 dangerous weapons were removed
🔹 More than 2,600 people were charged with over 5,100 offences
Every weapon removed represents a dangerous situation that may have been prevented.
Carrying a weapon is not the answer. Awareness, preparation and decisive action are what give people the best opportunity to stay safe.
You must be able to:
✅ Recognise danger early
✅ Set firm verbal boundaries
✅ Control panic under pressure
✅ Create distance and use barriers
✅ Protect yourself and your family
✅ Escape and contact police
At United Krav Maga, we prepare ordinary people to respond with confidence, control and determination.
You do not need to live in fear—but you do need to be prepared.
Your safety matters. Your family’s safety matters. Take responsibility for learning what to do before an emergency occurs.
Would you be ready to act?
