*Free pregnancy support from student midwife*
My name is Esther and I am a 3rd year Bachelor of Nursing/Bachelor of Midwifery Dual Degree student at the University of Queensland. As part of the 'Continuity of Care' component of my degree, I am looking for another 4/5 women to follow during their pregnancy journey due by the end of November 2017.
A little more about me: I am originally from the Netherlands and have been in Brisbane for 2,5 years now. I have complete over 480 hours of clinical experience in various nursing and midwifery wards. I also work as a nanny, specializing in multiples and children under the age of 2. I am very excited about woman-centred care and providing the best possible care for mums and bubs throughout all stages of their pregnancy journey.
As your student midwife, I would provide support, advocacy, and care not only throughout your birthing experience but also through attendance of your antenatal (at least 5) and postnatal (at least 2) appointments. The 'Continuity of Care' experience, whilst not replacing the role of you primary health care provider, allows for the development of a trusting and supportive relationship throughout your pregnancy journey.
It would be such a privilege to be a part of this special time for you and your family! If you or someone you know would like the continuous support of a student midwife during their pregnancy or any more information, feel free to contact me.
* Due to a change in privacy regulations, I am no longer allowed to mention the hospital I'm based at in public posts, please PM me for more details.*
