Okinawa Goju Ryu Karate

Tim, Keith and Simon went to Okinawa in March for some training and quality control under the supervision of Hirata and Takara senseis at the Kenshukan dojo. While there, Tim and Simon took part in a kata demonstration as part of the OGKK group. The event was the Okinawa Karate Federation's 38th Karate and Kubodo Demonstration, held at the Karate Kaikan.

Welcome to our page. We are a family oriented organisation with close links to senior senseis in Okinawa, the birthplace of karate, through our membership of the Okinawan Goju-ryu Karatedo Kyokai (association).

Our focus is on traditional Okinawan karate with an emphasis on self protection, and development of the body, mind and spirit. However, we realise that not everyone is equal and we expect people to train within the limitations of their body.
