The space we've created has a purpose for our programs and required several key requirements.
Options of seating.
Natural light.
Enough room to move around.
Storage for our hands on activities.
And somewhere fun.
During our programs we use different mediums that keep our hands busy so that our brains relax to absorb information. This here - is the key to training 🧐
When we add a layer of trauma, sleep deprivation or stress to education, absorbing information is extremely hard 🤯
Mia has speant many years working with disadvantaged women, young mums, parents on reunification plans and teenagers, to know how valuable a quiet mind is 😌
Our programs include:
Anti-natal Parenting Program - Finding You
Parenting Program - Becoming You
Circle of Security Program
Teen Life Skills Program

Why would you choose TEYG as your parenting and child's disability support team?
It's a hard question to quantify in a post and more about knowing who we are?
About Mia,
Mia has spent many, many years working with young mums, and with women leaving DV situations through a NFP on the sunshine Coast.
She has cared for over 20 children through the foster care system as well as working in the early childhood education space and then with DFV families. Seeing firsthand the importance of building strong connections for successful relationships.
She also knows what's its like to feel hopeless, stupid, overwhelmed and afraid on her own parenting journey.
Our parenting programs were developed because nothing similar was being offered, and all the current programs offered behaviour support without getting to the root cause of the triggering events. While working with young mums and in the DFV space, repeated patterns would continue to play out, causing significant ruptures in relationships.
Born were our parenting programs.
We unpack your childhood experiences in a supportive, small-group setting, work out possible cues to behaviour patterns, and then overcome these with a new awareness and practical strategies.
These have been widely successful in mitigating continuous negative behaviour patterns and have given mums the strength and awareness to hold steady while parenting with boundaries.
We are very proud of the work that is done, and now we have a space in Kurilpa St West End, a place we can comfortably run these in Brisbane.
We have also extended and altered this course to new parents, with the intention of equipping you with these skills and awareness before you go into parenthood. Delivered for males and females, same s*x or single parents, a safe happy parent is the only goal.
Prevention and support are always what wins.
Happy relationships as adults begin early, repairing fractures and empathising with each other. Its a life long journey.
Becoming you program-
