What will be next for Burrows Arts??

The next two events I’ll be attending are Oz Comic Con in Melbourne, and Adelaide’s largest gaming and anime convention AVCon at the start of July. So far, the only other event that I’m locked in for is the Oddities and Curiosities Expos across Australia in November and December!

With the current financial climate, it’s harder and harder to justify interstate travel for large events. I love attending conventions and meeting everyone, and I don’t WANT to slow down on the number of events I attend, but I have things I want to do!!

I want to:
- Update and release new products on my online store
- Start my Dinosaur kickstarter (glow in the dark enamel pins???)
- Finish and self-publish my horror fantasy, A Masked City

Over the past few months, I’ve been absolutely consuming the Berserk manga series. Ever since getting access to Libby and so many books at no cost, it has been a good year for reading.

The image of the Crimson Behelit has been consuming my creative brain, so I had to try to make a framed one. This one will be coming with me to the Melbourne Ren Fair this weekend.

These text stickers are some of my new favourites, purely for how silly they are 💃

It’s not a massive achievement, but I did all the colouring/highlights for the text boxes myself rather than relying on a picture of a text box. Makes it that little more hand-drawn!

Going all out for with new prints, stickers, and hand-crafted decor. It’s a first time event that I’m beyond excited for - let’s get ready for a weekend of immersion and fun!

I think it’s about time I did a re-watch of Spirited Away. It’s one of my favourite comfort movies!

If I only had a brain 🎶 (in a gold frame)

While I think the plain brains are beautiful, I think it would be very fun to see if I can make some mossy brains or something a little fun!

I don’t think I’m beating the Magnus Archives comparisons with this one…

and I will be tabling together at in two weeks time. She recently did a stained glass window design of herself and encouraged me to do something that matched, so she didn’t feel like the only one of us that had her plastered on the back of the table, hehe.
