Evolving Minds Early Learning - Wooloowin

We are pleased to be introducing Safer Communities for Children, an initiative developed by Napcan that supports children to learn about safety, express their feelings, and identify the people, places and supports that help them feel secure within their families and communities.

The program is built around seven bush-animal stories, accompanied by simple questions and engaging activities that explore concepts of safety, build confidence and resilience, and encourage children to seek help when needed.

As an organisation committed to the care, wellbeing, and safety of children, Evolving Minds continues to invest in meaningful initiatives that place children’s wellbeing at the centre of everything we do.

Engaging with Safer Communities for Children provides our teams with valuable opportunities to support children in developing lifelong skills, strengthening their sense of safety and belonging, and empowering them to confidently express themselves and seek support when needed. This reflects our ongoing organisational commitment to child safety, wellbeing, and creating environments where every child can thrive.

Last week our Kindergarten children had a wonderful time visiting Holy Cross School Wooloowin for Under 8’s Day.

The children enjoyed exploring a range of hands-on activities, with plenty of opportunities to play, discover, ask questions and connect with the wider community. A very special highlight was the fire truck, which sparked lots of curiosity and excitement.

Our Kindergarten children spent time chatting with the firefighters, asking thoughtful questions and learning more about the important work they do to help keep our community safe.

Thank you to Holy Cross School for welcoming us and creating such a meaningful experience for our children. 🌿🚒✨

A visit from the Queensland Ambulance Service🚑

Today we had a special visit from some of our local paramedics, and the children absolutely loved it!

They had the chance to learn about how paramedics help people, and even see some of the important equipment used in emergencies.

A big thank you to the amazing paramedics for taking the time to visit us and share their knowledge, you’ve inspired some future heroes today!

🎉 🎂 To celebrate our special days, we got creative and made our very own birthday play dough!

🥳 From mixing to molding, the children loved every moment of this hands-on activity. It was a wonderful way to explore textures, colours, and celebrate together as a community. 💛
