What may look like simple scooping, grasping, and sand play can give young children valuable opportunities to strengthen their physical skills while exploring different textures and materials.

These hands-on experiences encourage children to use their hands with purpose, build coordination, and develop greater control through play.

Because sometimes, the messiest moments are where little skills grow.

Sometimes, the best learning starts with getting creative. Make & Meld gave children the freedom to explore different materials, experiment with new ideas, and enjoy the process of creating.

These experiences encourage children to learn through doing, where there is no single right way to create. Every touch, movement, and discovery becomes part of their learning journey.

The Make and Meld Incursion gave children the opportunity to explore, create, and learn through hands-on experiences. From sensory exploration to fine motor practice, activities like these encourage children to engage with new materials while developing their creativity, curiosity, and confidence.

Learning can happen in so many ways, especially when little ones are given the freedom to explore through play.

A special visit from our local police officers brought plenty of curiosity and excitement to the day. Meeting community helpers gave our little learners the opportunity to observe, interact, and become more familiar with the people who help keep their community safe.

Experiences like these help toddlers build confidence, develop awareness, and connect their learning to the world around them.

Having our local police officers visit the campus gave our little learners the chance to engage with people who play an important role in their community. Experiences like these bring learning beyond the classroom and give children opportunities to interact, explore new ideas and engage with the people around them.

We love creating meaningful moments that help children learn through real experiences and build a positive connection with their wider community.

The most meaningful feedback comes from seeing children feel happy, comfortable, and excited to be part of their learning environment. 💚

We are incredibly grateful for Keiko’s kind words about Miss Ria and her Sunnybank Campus team, and for recognising the care, effort, and thought that goes into creating meaningful experiences for children and families. From special events to everyday moments, it means so much to know that these experiences are helping Riku feel more connected to the centre again.

Through everyday active play, children have opportunities to strengthen their coordination, balance, body control and confidence. From crawling and climbing to riding and throwing, these simple experiences help children develop physical skills while having fun and staying engaged in their learning.

At our campuses, active play is part of creating meaningful learning experiences that support the whole child, helping little learners build skills they can carry into everyday life.

A little visit from some fluffy friends brought plenty of curiosity and excitement to the day. Spending time with baby chicks gave children a gentle opportunity to observe, interact, and learn more about living things through a real-world experience.

Moments like these encourage children to ask questions, practise gentle care, and build confidence as they explore the world around them.
