A fun morning today in Springfield Lakes with some of our youngest music makers! Lots of smiles and drumming on the gathering drum and percussion instruments, whilst singing, saying rhymes and learning through play. Musical literacy! 😊
Iggly Wig music classes are starting back again this week for our home schooling families and those with little ones! We'd love to have you join us for a free trial class. Last term we had over 40 children attending weekly classes!
Current locations and times:
Rochedale Community Hall: Thursday 10.45 and 11.20 (ages 0-7); 11.25 ages 7+
Springfield Lakes YMCA: Friday 9.45 and 10.20 (ages 0-7);
10.25 ages 7+
Music has been proven to benefit a child in all aspects of their development, activating many areas of the brain and greatly enhances their literacy and communication skills, along with assisting with self regulation, cognitive function, patterning, emotional wellness, reducing stress, releases the feel good hormone dopamine and so much more!
We've been a little quiet on here lately, because we've been busy behind the scenes, getting ready for our Iggly Wig Music Classes! We have locations already to go at Springfield Lakes and Rochedale. The gathering drum and percussion instruments are ready to be played! Group classes starting in Feb across Brisbane and the Gold Coast in local halls and Child Care centres.
