Today our Magpie group celebrated the end of term with our weekly Tuesday bike ride and a wonderful nature party. What a great way to finish the term riding, exploring, playing, and enjoying time together outdoors.
Weโre so proud of everything our group has achieved this term and are excited to see what next term brings. We canโt wait to meet the bike coaches and continue developing our cycling skills and confidence.
See you next term Magpies! ๐ฒโจ

Limited vacancies remain for our 2027 Kindy program. Weโd love to welcome your family into our community.

A huge thanks to Tim and the team at Trek Bicycle Company for generously donating bikes for our Community Day raffle! ๐ฒ
Two of our current children were the lucky winners and couldnโt wait to take them for a ride on our Tuesday bike ride. Thanks for helping create such a memorable experience for our young people! ๐

Today we were incredibly fortunate to welcome one of our kindy parents, who generously took time out of their busy schedule as a paramedic to visit our children and bring along their ambulance. ๐
We are so grateful for this special opportunity. The children were fascinated as they explored inside the ambulance, learned about the equipment first responders use, and discovered how paramedics help people during emergencies.
Experiences like these help children develop an understanding of the important role first responders play in keeping our communities safe. Thank you for sharing your knowledge, answering our many questions, and helping our children gain a greater appreciation for the dedication, care, and bravery shown by first responders every day โค๏ธ๐

Today the Possum Group enjoyed a fascinating visit from Torin from Bugs Ed, where children explored the wonderful world of insects and mini beasts. We were excited to meet Daisy the Goliath Stick Insect, Remy the Stick Insect, Sally the Spiny Leaf Insect, and Mandy the Mantis!
A big thank you to Torin for sharing his knowledge and inspiring curiosity as children observed, asked questions, and learned about the important role insects play in our environment. ๐ฟ๐ฆ

A meaningful learning moment in our kindy space today as the Possum group discovered one of our spiny leaf insects had died overnight. The children took time to observe carefully, reflect on its life, and talk together about growth, change, and life cycles in the natural world. They then captured their learning through detailed observational drawings, noticing its leaf-like body, spiny legs, antennae, and intricate markings.
This experience followed on from recent discussions in our Magpie group, who earlier in the week respectfully buried a bird they had found, supporting children to understand that all living things have a life cycle, and to respond with care, curiosity, and respect for nature ๐ค๐
Inspired by Torinโs visit from Bugs Ed, our Magpie Group became insect artists! ๐๐จ
After exploring the amazing world of insects, we reflected on what we had learned and created our own vibrant insect masterpieces. A wonderful blend of discovery, imagination, and creativity! โจ
Today was a sad but meaningful learning experience. After finding a bird that had died, the children took time to carefully observe and draw it in their Nature Notebooks, recording the details they noticed. ๐ฆ๐ฟ
As these birds are familiar visitors to our kindy and local park, the children felt a strong connection to the experience. Together, we created a special burial for the bird, showing empathy, respect, and care while reflecting on its place in our natural world. ๐๐
