🚛♻️ What an exciting way to celebrate World Garbage Man Day at Hills Early Learning Centre!

A huge thank you to Remondis for volunteering their time to visit our centre and teach the children about the important role they play in our community. The children enjoyed watching a demonstration of how the truck collects, tips, and crushes rubbish, exploring the truck’s features, and even taking turns sitting in the passenger seat!

Can you believe we are halfway through our Veggie Fun Program for 2026? 🙌Our Veggie Fun Program runs for 10 months of the year, giving the QCCS Kindergarten Children real-world experience of our farm to plate approach to food & nutrition. By learning, planting, growing, harvesting and cooking our featured vegetables, children develop an understanding of food systems, as well as confidence in the kitchen.

This month our feature vegetable is beetroot! Loved on burgers in Australia, this nutrient rich vegetable will be whipped up into a creamy beetroot dip by our kindergarten children. Don’t forget to ask about the fun facts they have learned, they will love to share their new knowledge with you.
