Feeling really proud of this moment š
During my time setting up and running the UniSQ student-led Exercise Physiology clinic, I always knew we were doing good workā¦
But now weāve got the data to back it.
š Two poster presentations came out of that work:
⢠Telehealth Exercise for Arthropathies
⢠Patient Profiles in a Student-Run Clinic
And hereās the key thingā¦
This didnāt happen by accident.
From day one, I made sure students were:
ā Completing thorough initial assessments
ā Tracking outcomes properly
ā Reviewing and progressing clients consistently
Because without data⦠youāre just guessing.
š What we found:
* Significant improvements in pain & stiffness
* Better functional capacity (hello 30-sec sit-to-stand gains šŖ)
* Real-world improvements in daily living
PLUS we uncovered just how complex these clients actually are:
š Multiple comorbidities
š Higher clinical risk
š Real need for structured, supervised exercise

Iām currently completing an MBA workplace project through QUT and would really value input from people working in general practice.
My project focuses on developing a practical GP referral pathway for Trek2Health, particularly for WorkCover-related referrals.
Iām looking for brief input from:
⢠GPs
⢠Practice Nurses
⢠Practice Managers
The survey asks about referral barriers, preferred referral processes, and what information would make it easier for general practices to refer to a Trek2Health program (www.trek2health.org.au).
It takes around 5ā8 minutes to complete. Responses will be reported in summary form only, and no individual or practice will be identified.
Survey link: https://forms.gle/cfMQr8WbA13vYnRs7
I would be very grateful if you could complete it by **22 May 2026** or share it with anyone in your network who may be able to help.

Over the past 18 months, Iāve been exploring how Artificial Intelligence (AI) can actually support clinicians in their day-to-day work.
Not to replace professional judgement.
But to help reduce the significant administrative burden that so many allied health professionals face.
Across healthcare, Iām already seeing AI being used to assist with things like:
⢠summarising research articles
⢠drafting reports and documentation
⢠creating client education resources
⢠generating marketing content for clinics
⢠improving productivity and workflow systems
Yet when I speak with clinicians, I keep hearing the same thing:
"AI sounds interesting⦠but I have no idea how it applies to my practice."
And honestly, thatās completely understandable.
Most of the AI conversations happening online are very tech-focused and not really designed for clinicians or health business owners.
Thatās exactly why Iāve started working on a new initiative:
"Allied Health AI Academy"
A program designed specifically for allied health professionals who want practical ways to use AI in their clinical practice or health business.
Not complicated tech.
Just real, useful tools that can help clinicians work smarter while maintaining professional standards, clinical reasoning and patient safety.
Before developing the first program, Iām gathering insights from clinicians about:
⢠how AI is currently being used in practice
⢠where clinicians feel it could help
⢠what concerns people have about AI in healthcare
If you're an allied health professional, I would genuinely value your input.
Iāve created a short 3-minute survey to help understand what clinicians actually need.
š https://forms.gle/jT247aHtbCEWEBm67
Healthcare is evolving quickly, and I believe clinicians who learn how to use AI responsibly and ethically will be well-positioned for the future.
Iād love to hear from you as well.
Have you used AI in your clinical work or business yet?
AI in Allied Health ā Clinician Insights Survey
Artificial Intelligence is rapidly changing many industries, including healthcare. Iām currently developing an educational program designed specifically for allied health professionals to help clinicians understand how AI can support clinical practice, reduce administrative workload, and improve p...
