This week, our BJE Project Heritage students and their parents/carers came together for a very special excursion. 💛

Through personal stories, artefacts, and historical context, students were immersed in a guided journey through Jewish history and identity. Participants were fortunate to hear from Holocaust survivor Roland Gridiger, who generously shared his own story — and his family's experiences of survival and post-war migration.

Our Head of Jewish Learning, Ronnen Grauman, recently joined leaders from across the faith education sector to begin planning the end-of-year SRE Parliamentary Celebration — and to tackle shared challenges in strengthening SRE across NSW schools.

Our students are exploring Tza’ar Ba’alei Chayim — learning about the importance of caring for animals and treating them with kindness and compassion 🐾
Through stories, discussions and hands-on activities, they’re discovering what it means to look after others — including their own (very low maintenance 😄) pet rocks!
Because even a pet rock deserves love, care… and maybe a little fresh air 🌿

🌟 BJE at the Kids Giving Back Youth Summit 2026! 🌟

We were proud to have BJE students selected to attend the inaugural Youth Summit, joining around 50 student leaders from schools across Sydney.

It was fantastic to reconnect with many of our Nesiah 2025/26 graduates, who continue to lead, inspire and make a difference in our community while strengthening connections with our younger high school students (pictured). 💙
