Sydney Flight College has introduced the ALSIM Airliner Simulator at SFC Pilot Academy Tamworth, strengthening the training environment for students progressing toward airline operations.
The simulator replicates Boeing 737 MAX and Airbus A320 flight deck operations and allows students to practise airline procedures, crew coordination, and operational decision making within a controlled training environment. It is one of only two ALSIM Airliner Simulators currently operating in Australia.
The simulator was officially unveiled during a ceremony attended by Tamworth Mayor Russell Webb and The Hon. Kevin Anderson MP, marking an important milestone for aviation training in the region.

Fuel contamination checks are completed as part of every pre-flight inspection.
A fuel sample is visually examined to confirm it is free from water or contamination before flight.
This check is one of the practical procedures that supports how SFC maintains a strong safety focus across daily training operations.
Consistent fuel verification reinforces disciplined decision-making on the ground and forms part of SFC’s commitment to maintaining a safety margin above minimum requirements.
