📚✨ Kicking off Book Week! ✨📚

Our junior students had a wonderful start to Book Week yesterday, joining award-winning author and illustrator Freya Blackwood for a special online session!

Students stepped into Freya’s imaginative world, discovering what inspires her creativity and how she brings her unforgettable characters to life through pictures. They also had the chance to get creative themselves with some hands-on drawing activities, before finishing with a live Q&A with Freya. ✏️🎨📖

What a wonderful way to begin a week celebrating the joy of books, stories and imagination! ❤️💙

With our author visit and Book Fair on Tuesday, with activities and competitions, followed by our Book Week dress-up and parade on Friday, there’s plenty happening as we celebrate our love of books, reading and storytelling! 📖 ❤️

💙 Our Father’s Day Breakfast is back! 💙

We can’t wait to welcome dads, grandads and other special people in our children’s lives to BPPS for a relaxed morning of fun, food and time together.

📍 BPPS Hall

Enjoy breakfast, giant games, table tennis and a photo booth – the perfect way to start the day! ☕️🎲📸

Our wonderful canteen team will have a delicious range of food and drinks available to pre-order, including iced coffee. Free fruit will also be available on the morning. 🍓🍌

A big thank you to our wonderful Junior School Council for organising today’s Free Dress Day to help raise money for the Australian Wildlife Conservancy! 🌿

Students embraced the theme by wearing green or dressing up as an endangered animal or plant.

📚✨ Book Week is almost here! ✨📚

We’re getting ready for a wonderful week of celebrating books, reading and all the adventures that stories can take us on!

📖 Tuesday 25 August – Book Fair & Author Visit
Our Library will be buzzing with excitement as we host our Book Fair and welcome special guest author Davina Bell! There’ll be plenty of books, stationery, games, activities and competitions throughout the day.
💵 Students who would like to purchase something from the Book Fair can bring up to $20 cash in an envelope.

🎭 Friday 28 August – Dress Up Parade
It’s time to bring our favourite book characters to life! Our Book Week Dress Up Parade will be held in the Stadium on Friday.

We can’t wait to celebrate the magic of books and reading together! 📚💫

Our Junior School Council have organised a Free Dress Day this Thursday! 💚

Come dressed in green or dress up as an endangered animal or plant. 🌿

Please bring a gold coin or $5 note to help raise money for Australian Wildlife Conservancy (AWC) and support their important work protecting Australia’s wildlife and habitats.

🌱 National Science Week begins tomorrow, with this year’s theme being Seeds of Science: Nurturing knowledge for all.

To celebrate, we welcomed families to our Science Showcase, where students proudly shared their learning and investigations from across the school.

Our F-2 students created cress heads, made seed shakers and participated in a range of hands-on experiments. Year 3/4 students explored how seeds survive, spread and grow towards the light, while our Year 5/6 students investigated how factors such as salt and light can affect plant growth.

What a wonderful way to celebrate curiosity, discovery and a love of science. 🌱🔬

Friday Morning Sport 🏃‍♀️
Fresh air, friendly competition and plenty of smiles! Friday morning sport is a favourite part of the week for many of our Team 5/6 students and a wonderful way to start the day together. 💙❤️
