I know taking care of a stranger's Child is not so easy. But the only magic to it is loving and treating all babies the same. Wethere there are family or strangers to you . LOVE THEM UNCONDITIONALLY.
Here's another story of a "kid's experience" I had ,but with Family. This was after the 2015's experience.
As time went on my family was growing. I had my older brother's kid who came for the holiday too. His older kid would sleep right next to me every night . When he cries ,I would do the"mother's" duty ... Wake up pat him to sleep cause I felt like the mother would be tied too cause during the day she would be with him and I knew she'd be exhausted. Cause hey! That baby was a piece of work at that time LoL(just a year and a few months old) . So from then, I started to imagine how the working mothers feel at times , when they get back from work, tied , kids wanna play with them. But they just can't cause of work pressures etc. Also did the same thing with their second baby.
When my sister had her first child... It was the same routine , if the baby cries in the night I would go get her from the mother at times and let the mother rest( but she would sleep with the mother). Same thing happened with my young brother and his kids. The other one , two weeks after she was born (The one wrapped in a Black Scarf below), I was sleeping with the baby for 3 full months and I would wake up and feed her probably 3 times in the night (she was on bottle-milk) and during the day I would spend the day with her , feed her during the course of the day and work at the same time, cause those days I was still working from home. The mother could harldy do anything the first month because of the operation she had ,which is why I had to help. Till the mom and dad started going to work I would still stay with the baby at home. Same thing at church I would go with that baby(she's a year and a few months now). And with the other one( recently turned 3) she comes for ECD lessons and enjoys playing by my kids playroom center. Now she can read her name . I've been teaching her the alphabets , reading words, Bible stories, she knows her colours too etc. And she seems super intelligent! Which is why upto now I've gotten to understand what kids are like and how they need to be treated when the mothers are underpressure or not. To my Young and middle-aged MOMS, I feel what you go through and yes, there's always an answer to the problem. Sometimes mothers are forced to be in bad moods, not because they want to be in that state but because they are trying to figure out whose really gonna be capable of taking care of their children when they go to work, cause at the same time they don't trust their Maids(especially nowadays-maids are becoming dangerously rackless at some point). Abusive if I may say.
So this past Holiday I had all my nieces and my nephew at home. Even when the parents were not around, they would still know that their kids are in safe hands. Sometimes I would sacrifice my time with them even if I had alot of work to do.
From my own point of view , I think if there is a way to help these mothers in kid's crisis , we have to be there for them and reduce their work pressures on kids. If it means it's opening a BABY-HOME where those " busy-moms- on the go" can drop of their kids for a few days or a week , then yes , I would raise both of my hand to that. Kids need to be loved that's it. I'M NOT A MOM AS YET and I know it's not easy to leave your kid with some stranger , even I wouldn't want to do so if I had one. But I've gained so much experience with different kids now and I would treat anybody's kid the way I would want my own to be treated by any other mother.
Meanwhile ,having my nieces and nephew around made me so excited , which pushed me to Design some Kiddy-Nature outfits ( the green-outfits below) and have a few optics with them just to make them see how important they are to me. And I actually felt more confident knowing that NEMseven Wear is not only a clothing brand for the grown ups, but it also revolves in the kids Fashion World too coz I was just too focused on the grown ups work/daily outfits , forgetting about some precious souls in this world today (Babies). But as I always say... FASHION IS FOR EVERYONE . Kids need to be exposed to it, kids are important.
* There's alot more to kids than you can imagine.
And by the way......... All kids can sleep in the afternoon ππ
