Philip has become a dear friend of ours here at Eco-ed. Today, he asked for me to come and see his latest piece- a basin that he has carved out of stone. It features a spiral, curved around the edges that catches the water and sends it cascading elegantly into the drain. It is truly Art in Motion.

The Cape Mounted Rifles Bean Beatle (Mylabris Oculata)- One of the few creatures who's Latin name is less absurd than their common name. They seem to feed mainly on flowers- offering their warm colours, to us on a cold day. ❄
