Kindly note our school has eradicated hot sitting and we now give all we can provide to the learners so as to achieve a high pass rate thanks to the current administration for a job well done.

The chairman SDC Mr Masaka announced that an AGM will be held before the third term ends and we all as parents are advised to attend when the dates are announced to collectively build the school.

yesterday the 5th of October 2022 an extra ordinary meeting was held at the school premises and it was agreed that a top up of USD$10 is to be paid by every learner for the third term of 2022 learning calendar.
It was also announced by the TIC Mrs Moyo that Grade 1 enrollment for the 2023 learning calendar will be done on the 26th of October 2022 at the school premises and parents must bring the following documents for selection
Birth record card
Birth certificate and
A letter from the early learning centre the child was attending(creche)
We kindly ask those willing or wishing to enroll there children to take note of the above dates.

GREETINGS TO YOU ALL
Chikanga primary school AGM was held at the school on the 20th of May 2022 at the school assembly, Present was the School head Mrs. Muchayi, Deputy Head Mr Charamba, T.I.C Mrs. Moyo
The SDC chairman Mr Masaka and his committee.Absent was the ministry of education representative and the city of Mutare representative.
The executive presented that:
 Mr Sithole who was the school caretaker for more than 20 years passed on in 2021 and was buried in Buhera.
 Mrs Chingarande who was a teacher for grade 1 also passed on in 2022 and was buried at Yeovil cemetery in Mutare (May their souls rest in internal peace.)
It was announced by the SDC chair Mr. Masaka that the school headmistress Mrs Muchayi will be leaving Chikanga primary school this year 2022 as she is going for retirement from July 2022 from the 10th of July to be exact.
Attached below is the proposed 2022-2023 budget in pdf format and the AGM programme for those who did not have the chance to see it.
The AGM resolved that the 2021-2022 SDC committee continue for the new term 2022-2023 school year and the school fees was proposed to the tune of ZW$10 000 per term.

The SDC and the executive reminded parents the need to end hot sitting at Chikanga and making sure desks and chairs are made available for learners as there is need and shortages of these.
“The parents are welcome to bring development at the school and they must interact with their children’s teacher’s” said Mr. Masaka the SDC chairman in his speech.
It is good to have differences at meetings and after the differences’ we must work for development it is the goal of SDC’s to develop schools. Let’s all unite under one umbrella of developing our school Chikanga and it will remain our community school for ever

N/B We are going to start mobilising for developmental donations in terms of ideas and brains, being elected in the SDC committees is not the only way to develop schools we can do so through support through various ways lets come together and unite for a cause All individuals, churches, organisations and above all parent’s lets develop our school Chikanga primary school.
Mrs Muchayi was given the opportunity to say goodbye to the parents as she won’t have the opportunity after this AGM as she will not be present during the 2023 AGM as the school head.

Membership is open to all former students and we are going to inform you of the setup in due course a reunion gathering is on the cards for all former Chikanga primary students.

May i take this opportunity to thank each and everyone of us in this group, this is a clear sign that our hearts are still with Chikanga Primary School.I urge you Old Students to participant in rebuilding and rebranding Chikanga Primary for it to achieve its status of becoming the top school in the region .I also want to take this opportunity to invite you all to fully contribute to the development of the school.Currently we as a school we are constructing classrooms with the vision to end hot seating by the end of 2018.
