As servants of God, prayer is not an option, it is our lifeline. Through prayer, we seek guidance, gain strength, and remain aligned with God’s will. In every lesson, every sermon, and every moment of service, we are reminded that our effectiveness does not come from our own ability, but from our dependence on God.

Let us therefore be devoted to prayer, watching over our lives with discipline and thanksgiving. A praying servant is a powerful servant, equipped and sustained by God for His work.

MSOP Participation at Mt. Dema and Buwerimwe Fellowship Sunday

On 8 March 2026, students from the Mutare School of Preaching (MSOP) participated in a fellowship gathering at Mt. Dema and Buwerimwe Churches of Christ. The visit provided an opportunity for the students to actively serve and apply their ministry training.

During the fellowship, MSOP students taught the youth class and also officiated at the Lord’s Table, contributing to the worship service. Meanwhile, Mufundisi Gushakusha delivered the main sermon and also conducted a leadership class, offering guidance and encouragement to church leaders.

The fellowship was a meaningful time of learning, service, and spiritual growth for both the students and the congregations present.

Hobhouse Church of Christ Hosts MSOP Day 2 Fellowship

On 1 March 2026, the Hobhouse Church of Christ hosted the Mutare School of Preaching (MSOP) for the Day 2 Fellowship. The event brought together several congregations from Mutare Urban, including Sakubva, Nyamauru, Chinamanhanzva, Chikanga 1, and Dangamvura Churches of Christ. It was a joyful time of worship, fellowship, and encouragement among the brethren.

The guest speaker was Mufundisi Jefta Mugweni of Avondale Church of Christ, who delivered an uplifting message to the congregation and the MSOP students.

At the close of the fellowship, Hobhouse congregation contributed a variety of toiletries and food items to support the students who are currently training as preachers.

In addition, members present also gave cash support totaling $104 toward the welfare of the MSOP students.
This generous support is greatly appreciated and will help meet the daily needs of the students as they continue preparing to serve in the Lord’s vineyard.

Perseverance in the Christian Journey

Therefore, since we are surrounded...Hebrews 12:1-2 (NIV)

As students of Mutare School of Preaching, you are training for a lifelong Christian race. This journey requires perseverance, focus, and faith. Just like athletes shed weight to run faster, we must throw off sin and distractions that slow us down. Fix your eyes on Jesus, your ultimate example and strength. Don't grow weary; keep running with purpose, knowing you're part of a greater cloud of witnesses cheering you on.

You are not running alone. God equips you for every step. When challenges come, remember your calling and keep pressing forward. Your labor in preaching and learning is shaping you for impact. Stay faithful, stay focused, and run with endurance. God’s got you every step of the way.
