Some places have a way of making the ordinary feel a little more magical.
These photographs capture the whimsical character of Arundel’s landscape, where trees twist and stretch in unexpected forms, arch over pathways and stand alongside the buildings that have become part of the Arundel story. From the grand to the quietly curious, each one adds its own character to the school we know and love.
It is this sense of discovery, beauty and wonder in the everyday that makes the Arundel experience so special.

This photograph takes us beyond the familiar.
“Boundless”, by T. Manyumwa (Form 4), captures the Arundel School bus at the edge of Mazowe Dam, a place she knows well as an avid rower who trains there. In her words, the photograph speaks to the possibilities that open up when we step beyond the traditional classroom, embrace new challenges and venture beyond our comfort zones. There is, quite literally, a whole world out there waiting to be explored.

Arundel has always been a place of beauty, character and stories. This week, we are seeing it through the eyes of the young ladies who live those stories every day.
In celebration of World Photography Day, we are spending the week sharing a series of photographs captured by Arundel ladies, each offering a different perspective of our school, its landscapes and the moments that make it home.
These two photographs were taken by C. Chitekuteku (Form 1), who titled them Light Across Arundel, capturing how light can transform even the most familiar corners of our school.

𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐫 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫
From 10–14 August, fourteen soccer players travelled to Cape Town. The ladies took part in training sessions and technical drills with Ubuntu Football Academy, as well as friendly matches against Fish Hoek School and Ubuntu Academy. They also visited the Cape Town High Performance Centre, where they participated in fitness assessments and strength-and-conditioning sessions and learned more about sports science, athlete development, and careers in sport. The ladies returned inspired by the standard of football they experienced and with a renewed sense of what is possible through dedication, discipline and opportunity.

𝐓𝐞𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐬 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐔𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞 🎾
Our Tennis Teams are on tour in Sun City, South Africa. The A Team played Cornwall Hill, St. Dominic’s and Marist Brothers Linmeyer, finishing with a convincing 8–1 victory over Marist Brothers Linmeyer.
The B Team faced St. Dominic’s, Kingswood and Marist Brothers Linmeyer, finishing strongly with a 6–3 victory over Marist Brothers Linmeyer.
This tour is giving our players the opportunity to compete beyond Zimbabwe, experience different styles of play and test themselves against new opposition, providing valuable preparation for the season ahead.
Both teams continue to represent Arundel with determination, resilience and grace.
