*EMERGENCY NOTICE*
Warning of a Tropical cyclone
Please be advised that the meteorological department has issued a high alert warning of the Tropical cyclone expected from Thursday 16, February 2017 to Monday 20, February 2017. Henceforth, take note of the following precautions and exercise them where necessary:
*Before the Cyclone*
▪Clear all loose material that can cause damage during extreme winds.
▪Ensure all emergency/ first aid kit are well equipped.
▪Trim all tall trees and tree branches above electrical lines and roofs.
*During the cyclone*
▪Monitor cyclone bulletins or radio and TV
▪keep off all loose articles.
▪Park vehicles under solid shelter.
▪Disconnect all electrical appliances, turn off gas to avoid leakages.
▪Avoid and/ or limit driving errands.
▪Avoid standing under ceiling fans or chandelier.
▪Keep all windows and doors closed.
*After the cyclone*
▪Do not leave shelter until given a clear signal by relevant authorities. _(mainly in highly affected areas)_
▪Beware of fallen power lines.
▪Boil all water for drinking purposes.
*NB. Never assume cyclone conditions are over, the calm period is always followed by violent wind*
