Yesterday, we enrolled a learner who had been 13 years away from school.

And honestly, moments like this remind us why Ruvaredu exists.

At Ruvaredu, we have met learners from all walks of life.

We have met primary school learners who are bright and curious, yet need someone to patiently walk with them as they build confidence and discover their potential. We have met teenagers preparing for examinations and wondering if they are good enough. We have met young people rewriting subjects and hoping that this time things will be different.

We have spoken to people who left school when there was no money. We have met mothers who put their own dreams on hold while raising families and are now ready to invest in themselves again. We have met fathers who work long hours and still dream of earning the qualifications they never had the opportunity to complete.

We have met students who lost confidence after disappointing results and wondered if they still had what it takes. We have also met students who wanted nothing more than to wake up, put on their uniform and go to school, yet their bodies failed them. Illness interrupted their plans but not their dreams. In the middle of hospital visits, pain and difficult days, they still held on to the hope of learning and building a better future.
