The sun was up, the field was full, and the energy was unmatched.
Our drumming team was hired to bring the rhythm to the Marondera Social Soccer Legends tournament — but we came with something bigger than rhythm.
We came with a message.
As we beat our drums for every goal, every pass, and every legend on that pitch, we also beat for awareness. *Say No to Drug Abuse.*
Because a strong community isn’t just built on talent and trophies. It’s built on choices. Healthy choices.
To every young person watching: you are the next legend. Play clean. Live clean.
Thank you Marondera for having us. The drums will keep beating until the message is heard.

As Dombotombo Primary School Marondera we are honored to be part of the official drummies for the Marondera Social Soccer Legends winter charity tournament this weekend 25th of July 2026
More than just music, we were here for a mission: *to drum loud for a drug-free community.*
Every beat, every roll, every cheer was a reminder that our legends play clean, our youth deserve better, and Marondera chooses life over drugs.
Soccer brought us together. The message keeps us together.

Today, the Dombotombo Primary School family is deeply grateful for an incredible act of kindness from one of our former learners, who has generously committed to paying school fees for a disadvantaged learner for the whole of this year and the following year. The grade 6 teachers did the process of scouting the best suitable learner
Although our generous well-wisher has chosen to remain anonymous, we could not allow such a beautiful act of kindness to go unappreciated.
Your generosity is more than just financial assistance; it is a gift of hope, opportunity and a brighter future for a child. We are especially touched to see a former Dombotombo learner remembering their roots and reaching back to uplift another learner.
