A HUGE thank you to everyone who made our "Oliver with a Twist" play night such an unforgettable success!

On Friday, 31 July 2026, our stage was filled with the incredible talent and energy of our Coalfields Primary students. From the powerful opening number to the final bow, our amazing cast brought this classic tale to life with a wonderful, kid-friendly twist that kept the audience captivated from start to finish.

This production was a true community effort, and we are so grateful to every single person who played a part:

To our dedicated teachers and staff, who poured their time, care, and creativity into preparing the children and bringing the production together.

To our wonderful parents, families, and friends for your unwavering support. Thank you for helping with costumes, logistics, and for cheering our performers on from the audience.
And a very special thank you to the cast! Your confidence, enthusiasm, and hard work on stage were truly something to be proud of. You brought the story of Oliver's search for family and belonging to life with heart and passion. We are so proud of each and every one of you.

A final thank you to the fantastic audience for your support and for making the evening so memorable! It was a night of adventure, laughter, and heart-warming entertainment.

An exciting weekend of hockey, rugby, netball and soccer, saw our teams take on Victoria Falls Primary School with determination, sportsmanship, teamwork and a lot of great moments on the field.

It was a wonderful weekend at Victoria Falls Primary School. Our teams played exceptionally well at the Inter-Schools Netball and Soccer festival. A special congratulations to our teams on their excellent performances:
🥇⚽️Our first team boys soccer became the champions of the festival.
🏆⚽️Our colts soccer team with an unbeaten record claimed the trophy.
🏆🥇Our fillies netball with a brilliant performance deserved a brilliant result. Champions!

🎭 Coalfields Primary School presents: OLIVER WITH A TWIST! 🎭

Get ready for a night of drama, music, and family fun! Our talented students have been working tirelessly to bring this fresh, fun, and wholly original take on the classic tale to life.

What’s the story?
In this playful adaptation, the famous story of the orphan who asked for "more" gets a modern makeover. Follow young Oliver as he escapes the harsh workhouse and journeys to the bustling streets of London. He quickly falls in with the Artful Dodger and a gang of crafty pickpockets led by the villainous Fagin. The "twist"? This version is packed with original songs, hilarious moments, and a happy ending, making it the perfect show for the whole family.

What an inspiring morning! Our Coalfields Grade 5 learners stepped into the future today at the South Mining state-of-the-art community library.

From digital learning hubs to quiet reading nooks, the students were in awe of how this space blends technology with the joy of books. A huge thank you to South Mining for investing in our children’s literacy and imagination!
