CONDOLENCES • We are saddened by the untimely passing of Lovemore Gift Taona, an AfriKera graduate (Class of 2018). He was a very capable dancer, one of the best in his intake.

We pass our deepest condolences to his family and friends who like us, are devastated by this news.

My name is Osward Lifumbe. I began Practicing Yoga at AfriKera Arts Trust, where it was part of the curriculum under Tinashe Michael Muza, one of Zimbabwe’s first schools to formally introduce yoga. That foundation led me to train with Dharmika Pragji, and through Miss Dharmika’s support, I represented Zimbabwe at the 1st World Yogasana Championship 2026 in India, where I won 2 bronze medals. The championship was an amazing experience; I competed on a world stage, learned new techniques, and saw how Yoga is growing and creating opportunities for athletes globally. This journey showed me that awareness is important. Many Zimbabweans do not know that Yogasana can open doors to international competition and personal growth. I dedicate this success to AfriKera Arts Trust, Tinashe Muza, and Dharmika Pragji for building the history and platform that made this achievement possible for Zimbabwe.
