This week I will be teaching on Christian Soteriology

Christian soteriology (from the Greek sōtēria, meaning "salvation or preservation") is the branch of theology that explores how human beings are saved from sin and reconciled with God. Jesus Christ is the central figure of salvation

1. The Core Components
Most soteriological frameworks address the "Order of Salvation" (Ordo Salutis), which typically involves these stages:

Justification: The legal act where God declares a sinner righteous.

Sanctification: The ongoing process of becoming more holy and Christ-like.

Glorification: The final state of being perfected in the afterlife, free from the presence of sin.

Regeneration: The "new birth" or spiritual awakening of the soul.

Typology is a method of interpretation where Old Testament people, events, or institutions (the "types") foreshadow or prefigure greater realities (the "antitypes") fulfilled in the New Testament, especially in Jesus Christ, revealing a unified divine plan connecting the two testaments. For instance, Adam is a type of Christ, the Passover Lamb foreshadows Christ's sacrifice, and the temple points to Jesus as God's presence.
