Our vision is to Advance Sustainability Initiatives for Africa & our mission is to Foster Sustainability initiatives & innovations towards a Green Economy

The Institute for Sustainability Africa (INSAF) legally registered (MA1218/2012) in Zimbabwe as independent think tank trust and research institute with a professional focus on sustainability and sustainable development in Africa. The Institute started operating in 2010 initially as Centre for Environmental Accountability (CENAC) before being transformed in 2012 to an Institute. Our Successes have been notable in technically supporting the first formal sustainability reports from Zimbabwe to be registered internationally; being a Stakeholder Council Member for Africa at the Global Reporting Initiatives (GRI) which is an initiative of UNEP housed in The Netherlands; being part of the advisory to the GRI Focal Point South Africa Office for Southern Africa; an International Associate of CSEAR at St Andrews University, Scotland and speaking in local and international conferences. The Institute was involved in organizing the first formal certified training courses in Zimbabwe authorized by GRI for Zimbabwe and continues to work with ZSE and private sector development in Zimbabwe.
