What a welcome home! 🏆

Our Mother Patrick Debate Team returned home as the No. 1 Debate Team in Botswana, and what a celebration it was!

From the moment they arrived at the airport, the atmosphere was filled with excitement, pride and joy. Our parents, teachers and school community came together to welcome our champions, while the Marimba and Dance Team gave them a truly unforgettable musical welcome. 🎶💃🏾🥁

We also had the privilege of welcoming the ZBC crew, who came through to capture this special moment and celebrate the incredible achievement of our learners.

From the airport celebrations to the warm welcome at school, we captured smiles, hugs, cheers, proud parents, excited teachers and a team that made us all incredibly proud. ❤️

To our Debate Team: you represented Mother Patrick with excellence, confidence and determination. You went to Botswana, competed at the highest level and came back as NUMBER 1! 🥇🏆

Our Mother Patrick Convent Primary School Debate Team is currently in Botswana, proudly representing MPCS on the international stage and they have already done us proud by winning their competitions! 🎤🥇

Their success is a true reflection of their confidence, critical thinking, teamwork, discipline and determination. We are incredibly proud of our learners for raising the MPCS flag high and showcasing the talent and potential of our school beyond Zimbabwe.

That’s a wrap on Term 2 at Mother Patrick Convent Primary School! 🎉

What a term it has been! From the energy of sports and the creativity of Culture Day, to innovation through Robotics, our learners have continued to discover, create, compete and grow both inside and outside the classroom. 🤖🏽🏀🏐🏆

We also shared special moments through Blanket Day and came together in faith to celebrate the Feast of St Dominic, reflecting on the values of truth, service and community that continue to guide us. 🙏🏽💙

And what better way to look back than by hearing directly from our learners? 🎥 In our Term 2 reflections, a newcomer and fellow learners share their experiences, favourite moments and what made this term memorable for them.

As we close Term 2, we celebrate every achievement, every new experience, every friendship and every moment that made this term special.

Off to Botswana!

The Mother Patrick Convent Primary School Debate Team has officially begun their journey to Botswana to represent our school at the upcoming debate competition.

Their journey began with heartfelt farewells at school and continued with moments of excitement at the airport, as family, friends, and members of the school community gathered to encourage and see our young debaters off.

We wish our debaters a safe journey and every success as they step onto the stage. May they speak with confidence, think critically, and proudly uphold the values of Mother Patrick Convent Primary School. 🌟

🙏🏽✨ Term Two Closing Mass | Celebrating St Dominic ✨🙏🏽

We closed Term Two in faith, gratitude and celebration with a special Mass, while also commemorating the Feast of St Dominic.

The celebration was enriched by a powerful reflection on Veritas, the truth, reminding our learners of the importance of seeking, living and sharing the truth in all that they do. Our students also presented on the life and legacy of St Dominic, helping us reflect on the values he continues to inspire. 📖🔥

We were especially grateful to have our Debate Team blessed as they prepare to represent the school in Botswana. May God guide them, give them confidence and bless their journey as they carry the Mother Patrick spirit beyond our borders.

As Term Two comes to a close, we give thanks for the lessons, growth, achievements and memories shared throughout the term.

Our teams proudly represented Mother Patrick Convent Primary School at the Dominican Schools Derby, taking part in Volleyball, Basketball and Chess. 💪🏽👏🏽

Our Fundraising Variety Show was filled with smiles, delicious food, an exciting movie, energetic dance performances and unforgettable moments. Most importantly, every dollar raised brings us one step closer to providing water dispensers for every classroom.

A proud moment for Mother Patrick Convent Primary School as we celebrated the remarkable achievement of our Head Boy, Prince M. Ndlovu, author of Axel Fire 1.

Today, Prince was presented with his author's certificate by Mr. Aleck Maposa of Essential Books Writers under the Creative Kids Essentials Programme, in recognition of his accomplishment as a young published author.

This special occasion highlighted the importance of nurturing creativity, imagination, and a passion for reading and writing among our learners. We are incredibly proud of Prince's dedication and achievement, which serves as an inspiration to his fellow learners to dream big and pursue their talents with confidence.
