Abroad Concierge would like to formally update all our clients and prospective students on a new U.S. Presidential Proclamation that directly affects Zimbabwean nationals.

Effective Date:
*These measures take effect on 1 January 2026*

📌 What the U.S. Government has announced:

According to the proclamation:
• Zimbabwe recorded a B-1/B-2 visa overstay rate of 7.89%
• Zimbabwe recorded an F, M, and J visa overstay rate of 15.15%

As a result:

🚫 The entry into the United States of nationals of Zimbabwe is SUSPENDED under the following categories:
• Immigrant visas (permanent residence)
• B-1 / B-2 / B-1/B-2 (Visitor visas)
• F (Student visas)
• M (Vocational student visas)
• J (Exchange Visitor visas)

⚠️ This means that new visa issuance and entry into the U.S. under these categories will be suspended for Zimbabwean passport holders, unless an individual qualifies for a specific exemption under U.S. immigration law.

🎓 Important message for students:
If you were planning to study in the United States, we strongly advise that you consult with us as your study abroad consultants to review your options.
