The Educator is an educational
weekly tabloid written by
experienced, qualified and
competent educational practitioners.
It offers lessons that synchronise
with the syllabus and that use practical
examples.
The newspaper will be distributed
to all students throughout Zimbabwe,
from pre-schools to the country’s top
colleges.
The paper’s main objective is to
complement what is being done in
the classroom and the educational
practitioners will use their own practical
methods with a Zimbabwean flavour.
It aims to assist students having
difficulties in understanding abstract
concepts, thus helping them pass
their examinations.
The Educator is interactive and the
lessons are designed in a manner that
helps students understand concepts
first then answer questions after going
through some given examples with
solutions.
Students are required to answer
questions after each lesson and send
the answers to The Educator for
marking.
Parents are urged to assist students
by explaining those concepts they may
fail to understand. Parents should not
answer the questions for the students
but rather guide the students and help
them complete the lessons within the
stipulated time.
The Educator is going to be the
medium through which businesses
will interact and showcase their goods
and services through advertisements.

Our first edition received overwhelming support from everyone including the corporate world, educationists, and parents and thankfully from our beloved end user. We are really humbled by such faith in a new publication. We kind of anticipated it but never expected such a deluge of eulogies. Somebody said, in terms of innovativeness, we are the best but we were afraid to agree with him totally for fear of beating our own chest. But, hey, who are we to suppress a bit of gloating if a lizard that fell from a high iroko tree marveled at a height it jumped albeit involuntarily.
As you can see, the second issue has improved tremendously, a result of your valuable contributions. We will never stop raising the bar even higher as continuous improvement is one of our creeds. Good is never good enough where better is expected. Watch out for the third volume that is going to have a section on exam tips, model exam questions and answers.
